Last year was on a Thur, so this year possibly on the 25th, which is also on a Thur, ie 9 trading days more. FY net profit could be around $180m, giving a eps of 33c. Wonder how much they will be giving for div to make it attractive for bystanders to come in?

Bro.. just a little more than a month ago UG was trading below 60¢.
That was the time to load, isn't it? Broke 80¢ a couple of days ago. If i not mistaken, you like the "buy when others sell, sell when people buy" and "sell on news" phrases. Cheers and huat!

The announcement made late last year, was the setting up of a subsidiary in USA. The appointment of a relative to the Chariman and CEO to manage the subsidiary. No announcement on set-up of factory or the production of masks in USA if we look at the co' s announcments.

MT setting up US factory is clearly a strategic move in response to " Buy America First" policy as priority will be accorded to Made in US products. Also away from reliance on China' s products. Once successful, it is easily replicated in all various states. Think BIG! | ||||

Yes. US is one of Medtecs biggest mkt. US plants set up is to capture mkt share there.

What if the next news from MT is any one of the following : 1) Confirmation of mainboard listing 2) Positive updates from US factory 3) Commencement of 1st tranche share buyback 4) More CEO purchase 5) Major dividend payout 6) new activist investor 7) Major funds major purchases and last but not least 8) > $200 mil profits for 2020? Any of the above news has a more than 50% probability chance to materialise. Just one year ago, MT did not even cross 0.20 cents. My forecast for 2020 for MT came through: it did cross $1. My next forecast is even more bullish $4-5. This is definitely achievable if MT is listed in US or even HK. Nevertheless, our local bourse is underperforming and hopefully, funds will flow in to seize the opportunity. Time will tell. Huat to all for a Prosperous lunar year! |

If SGX approved Aspen which is not making money, but still does not approve Medtecs which is making record profits rivalling Blue chips, then think MAS should be checking SGX as to why this is so, and let investors know. Transparency mah. It' s almost 3 months since announcement to apply by Medtecs, but Aspen got approved in less than 2 months. From the forum, many investors seem to be hoping but wondering, cos like not logical. Even got one forumer suggests not moving to Mainboard better for MT as it will cost kongsi less money. Sounds funny to me. If that is the case, why don' t all the Mainboard kongsis downgrade to catalyst status, including the banks and of course SGX. What a joke for LNY eve. SGX and the banks would probably be worth not much more than MT' s current price of 103, and more people can afford to trade in them, bringing in more much needed activities to Asia' s worxx stock market.

Correct. Cannot compare a just starting business with good potential profit with a business that is already showing amazing profits QoQ while also showing very good cash management. Medtecs definitely a good long term investment prospect in my opinion. At the end of the day, this isn' t a buy/sell call but just an opinion. Do your own due diligence.
