For 2 damn year 2024-2026 genS stock price and earning took hit and kind of survive due to huge cash pile and diversified business. If MBS got 2 years think they collapse loh. Was thinking maybe sg gov thinking of reducing casino license from 2 to 1 since having 2 casino on sg is overkill | ||||

The shorter casino license hurting too much on trading sentiment and noone wanna invest till cost is clear.. Even the high roller gamblers avoid genS and go to MBS. In short STB owned genS big time for being scrapegoat covid. So i confident they get renew normal. | ||||

The license is one of the causes but it was also the decline in profit in FY25 as the new installations were being relaunched and took time to ramp up so hopefully we can see the recovery in EPS from FY26 on a lower base. The positive was that GENS maintained the DPS at 4c for the year despite the profit decline and with a 5-6% yield supported by strong free cash flow generation and the net cash of > $3b, that will anchor share price as seen around the high 60s/low 70s. Just need the catalyst of recovering EPS from 1Q and the license renewal update in due course for the price to re-rate. MBS had the benefit of GENS downtime with the RWS 2.0 to capture more market share so relatively speaking, they outperformed but will be a matter of time for GENS to catch up and the dynamics to normalize. What i meant is unfair treatment of genS compared to mbs. reason for 2 years casino is for low tourist count 2021 to 2023. mbs american business cannot offend so gens become scapegoat stock price and market share got hit on 2 year licence.

GS has been one of the most " STABLE" stock in SGX. Hovering between high 60s and mid 70s. Even Geo Energy is catching up from 30s. | ||||

Most likely after august , actual timing difficult to predict. Anyway 95% chance genS would get renewed as they spent billion upgrade last year. But that uncertainty pushing down stock price to covid level |

Biggest headwind is the casino licence renewal. That issue force stock price to stay in covid era range > 1 year. GenS did not lose money but had the loss making valuation. | ||||
