Yes.   If some of the REITs are currently trading as high as 3 times NAV, then CLI certainly has up to 3 times of potential multiples to blossom, given their sound strategic business of capital recycling, etc., systematic roadmap and key milestones in 2023 and 2024 articulated to be achieved.   | ||||

Yup - I know of many CapitaLand sellers don' t want to go through the process of the delisting  but they want CLI and they tell me they plan to buy CLI morning of September 16th Then there are the institutions who want to add to their holding  Then there are those who also like IPO first day - not that this can technically be termed an IPO  Apart from CapitaLand shareholders who go through the delisting process nobody else owns CLI and after going through the process why would most CapitaLand shareholders sell first day - they would be really crazy to do so in my opinion- give CLI six months and $3.80 is possible

Adrian you are probably right, the fact that CAPLAND crosses $4.10.   Meaning CLI will open strongly.  Expect  CLI to go wavy past $3.20 on September 16th CLI is the only way now for institutions to buy into CapitaLand growth in terms of benefiting from CapitaLand' s massive property land bank growth. Remmeber this article from Business magazine        " CapitaLand' s proposed restructuring will allow CLI shareholders to potentially benefit from the substantial long-term value that we will aim to unlock, Lee said in a virtual dialogue session with shareholders, 28 July, parts of which were shared in a bourse disclosure on 4 August.            "   ...these two capital-efficient businesses are complementary, and a good fit for CLI. As our lodging platform continues to emerge from the worst of the pandemic, and scales towards our planned target of 160,000 units under management by FY2023, we expect the business to contribute materially to CLI' s overall earnings on a recurring basis,  said Chief Finance Officer Andrew Lim." |

last 6 days of trading for capitaland.. next fri last day of trading... can say sayonara to capitaland soon.. this one for the history book... hopefully CLI can open > $3.20 on the 16 September. All the best everyone.. this thread will be no more.. See u all in CLI thread. :) Cheers   |

Somehow SGX has be anemic even though global market has been on recovery mode.   But I believe this trend in SGX is in order largely because our watchdog authority has always been in a look out for doggy listed companies who may be involved in insider activities.   | ||||

I came across an article a few days ago that said that retail investors would prefer to buy and trade stocks outside the SGX like the US Market to make a quick buck on short term basis.   The article also said that retail investors had made losses in SGX.   Perhaps many of these retail investors don' t believe in deep analysis and exhaustive due diligence.   Some of them perhaps believe that there is no difference between playing 4D/TOTO versus Stock Market.   It is a matter of a chance of luck.  |

As far as I could remember, over the past 10 weeks in succession, the institutional investors have been consistently buying lot, stock and barrel CAPLAND and the retail investors have been selling off their holdings.   General Observation: CLI is definitely a strategic investment not for the faint hearted retail investors who usually hold very short term views on investment in all stocks in SGX.   That' s a given.   This observation will never change.     |

Now that CapitaLand reaches new all time highs on a daily basis there are bound to be bitter folk who regret selling  This is a situation when multiple well intentioned people strongly recommended holding on to CapitaLand but people didn' t listen
