x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	85c came in as expected for full year ....but not paying a special dividend do disappoint many investor .  ( esp when DBS give out so good angpow , I guess the young Wee really has to think harder now .....esp IF OCBC do come out w a special dividend )  OCBC is 28th morning ....let see. 40c is given in my view .....any extra ...even a 5c wld put UOB in bad light .  Awaiting patiently .  Echoes      ( Date: 22-Feb-2024 10:28) Posted: UOB just announced its results and despite a respectable 85cts final dividen ( $1.70 total ) representing 50% payout ratio and 5.8 % dividen yield , investors are clearly not happy and its share price is currently down almost 2% since market opens. Well , I guess DBS has set the bar too high . In todays environment , investors are expecting min 6.5% yield and nothing short of 55% payout ratio from the banks .  I expect OCBC to dish out 40 to 45cts final . Interesting to note that should OCBC pays out 45cts , its 85cts total dividen is half of UOB' s total . If that happens , their should price disparity should correspondingly adjust further . Expect UOB' s  management time to have a hard time in their forthcoming AGM whereas there will be smiling faces all round in DBS AGM . As for OCBC , most investors were smiling during last years AGM and the mood for this year will depend on what numbers being churned out on 28 Feb 24 .

Well , I guess DBS has set the bar too high . x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Well, if OCBC sees the rabid re-rating of DBS after the Bonus Issue, it can watch and learn and copy.  If it makes OCBC look cheaper and more affordable, more people may be willing to buy a lot or two. Even a 1 for 1 stock split will only increase it to 3.38b shares . Not sure why the Management prefers to keep it at current levels . .

If this come true ...will be a great 40+40+20 ....$1  giving OCBC a yield of 7.7% at $13 .  ( lol my hope for this great angpow)  Whatever, OCBC should have room under this lady CEO . DYOD

Fees and AUM are all at record high . NOT forgetting Visa integration etc are still adding $$ to them . **  DBS is again going to make $10B in 2024 as claim by CEO ......OCBC has mentioned additional $3B business from Southern China .  I think UOB is integrating the VISA Indo and Vietnam well into its profoolio  3, ALL 3 banks are having good payout ratio of aro 50% only ...and Tier capital are still high . WOULD NOT be surprise some special dividend coming up or end this year.  ***  the golden question is how much more DBS will run up till XB .....xd is about 0.54c , XB is about 10% of DBS share which is worth a cool $3k+  Haha so I guess base on valution we can see where DBS wld be and leading our STI . UOB will be givng out 85c ? on 22nd Feb .( $1.70) ....or plus a special dividend.
