Aiyo, I told myself to buy if it' s ever go below 33.30. Went toilet, came back and notice price dropped below that briefly & went back up already.

This is what we call CAPITULATION in DBS The market defines capitulation as Capitulation means surrender, so in stock-market terms it is used to describe the point when investors throw in the towel and sell their investments. Capitulation also refers to the point when markets hit rock bottom Those selling DBS now are bonkers - smart sellers sold at $36.40 not today at $33.51 This is not to say that DBS cannot drop further with additional capitulation - chart says $33 but could be higher |

Rising IR is a double edged sword.......could become a headwind for banks if higher IR cost dampen borrowing and loan growth as clients put off capital and biz expansion which in turn lead to economic slowdown. In addition, risk of NPL increase due to clients default on loans thus impact banks' profitability. Anyway, all the 3 major banks in SG are closely regulated by MAS and supported by strong B/S, performed well this Q and poised for sustainable future growth with their M & A. Overall, still a good LT buy at right price for keep!!!

On the positive side, all banks in Singapore are well governed by MAS. They will have provision for sufficient reserves to ride through any circumstances that will occur. DBS, OCBC and UOB will soar after the BBs have surpressed the price and start to buy back. | ||||
