It will be much higher than 2.5ct lah ... don' t let these syndicates persistent artificial price suppression dampen your optimism, of course, i must admit that these syndicates have so far done a very successful job in sowing deep hopelessness and self doubts in the mind of all the Long investors. 1h23 $162m was a very good start. 3q release in late Nov with $5m+ more write back was further positive development strongly signaling no more new npl provision expecting in 2h23. There could be some revenue downsides from the reduction of DI from $2400m+ to $2100m and also RenYL indicative return that MF is not as high as 17% earlier indicated. There could also be some negative translation impact due to the stronger sgd against usd as more fund is in SG now ($1250m vs $574m). Having said that, I certainly do not think all these negative impacts will amount to ~$100m in 2h23 and knock the FY23 npat to just $225m. There are positive impacts too such as potentially more write back in 4q23, more MF taken up, higher rate on YP/Cash ... I would conservatively estimate the npat at $240~270m, or a dps of 0.027~0.03. I say conservative, so i think it could still be much better.

Haha, I am greedier. 2.5c will be a disappointment to me. 1st half dividend would already come to 1.6 or 1.7c, if given. 2.5c means 2nd half account for only 0.8 or 0.9c. Although I am no longer as optimistic as before, where I hope for 3c or more, I still think minimum 2.75c la. |

The current market still present opportunities to accumulate. However, I would not add YZJF anytime soon because I am satisfy with my existing holding. Also, clearly YZHF is facing headwind and whenever it tries to climb up, it will get knock down and I think it is BBs trying to churn volume and at the same time, weed out weak holders. Let' s BBs do what they have to do. For those who have accumulated enough and happy with the size of their holding, really, there isn' t anything to do right now and in the short to mid term. Hold and collect dividends quietly and see what happen 3 years from now. Don' t even need to come to this thread that often. If stil have spare bullets, there is no harm to build position in other suitable counters too. Just take note when YZJF announces their results in mid to late February with the accompany dividend rate. Based on all known information so far, do we seriously think they would make a loss notwithstanding the challenging economy conditions? Instead of thinking that the share price would go to 25 cents, we should think that the dividend should be at least 2.5 cents. | ||

Totally agree with emailpeter. Only way for price to move up is good dividend payout. With that comes interest from insititutions. And volume will follows. |

This share is having such a hard time. I' m also stuck with large amounts. Just need look at the daily volumes, averaging SGD250k daily. Pales into insignificance when compared to its cousin 25,000k. Absolutely no institutional interest....If it was in HKEX, delisted already....Again no prizes for guessing why it reached this pathetic state. If Ren doesn' t pay you close to 4c, or achieves bumper results for 2024 to result in high divs, this share will stay at these levels for the next 12 mths, will remain a cult club beating empty drums. Same cycle as 2023. |

In investing, especially in this very open market, everything happens for a reason. Definitely so for share valuation.
This share is 70c to 32c (and remains very stable now) owing to many circumstances built in. History and forward projections. In hindsight, those who maintained a diversity of say, keeping YZJ Ship, and a basket of Reits and Banks in SGX, would have profited much better rather than putting full concentration here. Much better application of opportunity cost. To do so can connote an obstinate following of nothing more than..................... sheer blind faith..... Happy new year as we countdown to Feb 23.....both YZJFH and YZJSH are under the strong radar, or legs. Of the Top institutions. |

Dont forget about opportunity costs too. How much money in div and capital gain you can get vs your alternative investments... even for us who are stucked also need to diversify too not blindly doing dollar cost averaging lolol.

I have no intention to psycho people to buy because you make $$$ you don't buy me coffee. When you lose $, I get the blame.
Anyway the historic low was 28.5c, only a handful few hundred lots changed hands, it might not repeat again. Your investment now I consider it as very safe. What happened when your holding get stuck for a long time, opportunity loss etc, better go for other forms of safe investment is beyond our discussion here. I wish all the best of luck, happy 2024.
