There is a bull monkey in this one. A bull monkey plays the stock UP. A katek monkey whacks the stock down. You remember Noble Group ? That one kena whacked left right and centre above and below even...by a katek monkey. Capitaland has a bull monkey. This stock is on its way up. The monkey will use brickwalls to block the price to prevent it from sliding. It is like this monkey puts a chair at the doorway and he sit there and snarls at whoever comes near and he show you his sharp teeth. As long as he is sitting there at that doorway, the price cannot retreat. He already accumulated alot at lower and he havent sold yet becoz his target price not reached yet. This PUMP, BLOCK and PUSH higher routine is a common feature in the price action when there is a monkey in the driver' s seat.

However, many people are still vested in local market due to various personal reasons - Exchange rate, CPF (or trying to beat CPF % return), dividends, familiarity due to proximity, etc etc. Fundamental is still important, but sometimes sentiment take over. Its all cyclical too, some quarters can be growth stocks, some quarters belong to value stocks. To make money in the stock market, go where the money is. And the money is in stocks which have a monkey or Tua Phows. Becoz only when you have a monkey or Tua Phows (or both at times) that the stock will move. Find a stock which already have a monkey, try to figure out which way he is going, and join him. Not find a stock to park money in first and then sit around and wait and hope that a monkey will come to your stock to play it in the direction you are vested in. Becoz a monkey may never come. Then what happens to your position ? It will become stuck. Then only 2 things left to do. Stay stuck. Or cut.

Will more downgrading news come? Is there catalyst in the horizon? And actually for me personally, it is the Opportunity Costs - is there another counter(s) that can give me better return(s)? If you can answer the above, I think you should be able to make decision on whether to exit / sell some / hold / buy more.

If we believe the bigger chart that Riverstone back to the May to June consilidation before the spectecular rise, we are now in the consolidation phase. Back in June Riverstone was as low as 2.19 ( = 1.10 ) and high as 2.49 ( = 1.25 ) So anything within these limits are good buy. As this is a retracement and not a downtrend, the level if resistance should be on the high side of 1.25
