THE Ghana govt has a 10% stake in OML. LG owns 77% of SML which bought OML in 2012. Lost uglily total more than S$4.7 upto Dec 2015. SML now surrenders and after the rights issue by OML, will exit from OML in a " separation agreement" . Its remaining asset is its producing gold mine at Ballarat, held by Castlemaine Goldfields  Pty Ltd. SML will not receive anything from the OML rights exercise.   The investment in OML will be impaired.   LG itself is not a party to the separation agreement.   Could this mean no more headaches or what?     What is lost in SML is the funding by LG.   So what is lost is lost. Hope the remaining gold mine brings in profits.
