So Guy B can suggest selling away his CICT and he may use the proceed to buy CLI or he may just decide to keep CLI becos he likes good stock. So why need to label Guy B as dumb? This one I' m very sure and I dun think suggesting Capitaland shareholders to sell their free CICT shares to buy more CLI is a dumb one. Most capitaland shareholders are more interested in the CLI than CICT. CICT and the cash are just " side dishes" which can be used to enhance the main dish CLI. So I as a Capitaland shareholders will not hesitate to sell my CICT and combine with the cash of 95.5 cents , use them to buy more CLI. CLI is better than CICT. This one i dun think any capitaland shareholders will disagree unless they are dumb and think that CICT is better than CLI as what u implied.

After this is over, below $2.10 will be  a dinosaur price

One thing for sure, the market will watch how CLIM performs. And Capitaland, the father or initiator of the REITS market here will not allow this model to fail. The cost and reputation is too high.   And when it succeeds it bounds to spin off copy cats. And this model will not be confined to the property/ReIT sector. It can be duplicated in other type of industry.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	You know how lucky are the Capitaland REITS to have CLIM as the manager, CapLand as the sponsor, TH as the grandparents? When I was at the various REITS AGMs, I listened to the questions asked about growth and acquisitions, and I also talked to the directors. You know how difficult it is to acquire or buy over a property? The asking price for a good property at a good location is either too high, or the timing is not right. If the price is good, the location is too ulu or the tenants/ traffic/ environment etc is not good. Now if you don' t acquire new properties over time, you can never grow... because there is so much you can have with rental revisions, or remodelling with new tenants. That is the reason why OUE Com Trust merged with OUE H, Fraser Log merged with Fraser Com, ESR merged with Viva. BECAUSE, as I said, it' s so difficult to BUY the RIGHT property. With Capitaland as the mountain, they can delelop, they can build, they can acquire and retrofit....and then when the time comes they can divest to its children REITS. And who say, CLIM cannot partake in the development projects by CapLand? After all it is also an INVESTMENT company. And do you know, how Capitaland Malls have always been able to own or buy over shopping centres that are on top or a MRT station, even before the MRT plan was announced? Think think think!
