It is still growing hence the high debt. We all know debt in itself is not a bad thing provided the money from the debt is use to generate income. So, the company must continue to make profit higher than the debt to be attractive to investors. Just keep an eye on the quarterly reports.

Would Peter Lynch Buy Fragrance Group?
By David Kuo - May 13, 2014 Peter Lynch once said that there is no correlation between the success of a company&rsquo s operations and the success of its stock price over a few months or a few years. But in the long term, there is a 100% correlation. Those sage words could almost have been written about hotel and property developer Fragrance Group (SGX: F31). Over the last nine years, shares in the company have increased from less than $0.01 to S$0.22, as profits grew from S$14m to S$214m. But does Fragrance Group have what it takes to become a &ldquo Peter Lynch&rdquo stock? Peter Lynch likes to look for companies whose valuations are below their historical average. Currently, Fragrance Group is valued at around seven times earnings. This is below its historical valuation, which tends to be in the mid-teens. Meanwhile, earnings at the property-cum-hotel outfit have grown at around 40% a year. This, together with its PE ratio, would equate to a Price-to-Earnings Growth (PEG) ratio of around 0.2. That is quite low, and probably low enough to catch the eye of Peter Lynch. However, the company has as much debt on its balance as it has equity. Its debt to equity ratio is almost 100%. Meanwhile, with cash in hand of just S$137m, Fragrance Group is carrying net debt rather than net cash. On its own, that is unlikely to rule it out as a Peter Lynch stock. However, its short dividend payment history might. Peter Lynch like to see a business with a consistent track record of dividend payments. Fragrance Group only started paying a dividend last year. Fragrance Group is unquestionably an ambitious company. It has come a long way from its days as a budget hotel operator in Geylang. However Peter Lynch might wait a few more years before making a decision on the business.

SG property sector is on downtrend , so developers have to look elsewhere to grow business. More M& A ahead as following the strategies of Wheellock and Hotel Properties ? Would it be viable for Fagrance Group to do " merger"   with   Roxley ? Join force to expand in the region, London , Australia , Vietnam |

I went to Thakral Corporation AGM recently. During their presentation, they presented their properties investment in Australia. They are doing very well in Australia. But I remember that they said   they are not bullish in investing in Tasmania.   Tasmania is not a great place to invest in properties.

Looks like a good deal ,   2000 sqm freehold land for AUD 4mil Can be redeveloped into Grade-A commercial property , perhaps when the time is right. According to the RP Data-Rismark February Hedonic Home Value Index results, Hobart was one of the bestperforming capital cities, with growth in dwelling values of 7.7%. For the month of February, Hobart joined  Sydney  and  Darwin  as the only cities to record positive growth   |

The Tasmania property was purchased at a price of AUD $ 4 million Probably FG is implementing similar strategy as Aspial to develop property in Australia Aspial selected Melbourne FG selected Tasmania  It is easier for joint visits as well. Would it be feasible for FG to setup a commercial REIT ?   NOL + Keypoint + Tasmania property ? Probably need more commercial properties to be added to the portfolio.   |

technically he didnt do anything to you for new wave. its not even his company. he just speculated like everyone else. bought in and sold at a higher price that being said. it might be helpful to think of why  it would be good for him  to split fragrance and gp. hint--risk

We can only hope. As biggest shareholder the least he wants to do is make sure the company is profitable so that he can declares dividend and he doesn' t have to pay tax on dividend he received. If dividend is good we as minority shareholders will then also benefit.

7.4 CPFIS Investors. In the case of Shareholders who have purchased FGL Shares using their CPF funds, entitlements to the GPHL Shares will be determined based on the number of FGL Shares standing to the credit of their respective investment accounts with the CPFIS Agent Banks as at the Books Closure Date. Following the Books Closure Date, CDP will credit their CPFIS Agent Banks&rsquo Securities Accounts with the relevant number of GPHL Shares on the credit date to be announced by the Company in due course. The respective CPFIS Agent Banks will notify the relevant Shareholders of the credit and such Shareholders are advised to consult their CPFIS Agent Banks as to the crediting status of their GPHL Shares in their respective investment accounts as CDP will not be sending any notifications to such Shareholders.   For me, I am using DBS for my CPF trading. So I will log into DBS internet banking to see if the GP hotel shares appear in my account. So depending on what bank u use for ur CPF trading, u log into ur bank internet banking or give ur bank a call lo
