cf is unpredictable unlike yuuzoo, fish is need as human food and cannot be replaced. believe if the company can transform and integrate the operation, it will be like cola cola which warren buffet invested and paying him well. due to 2 fishing season closed, the price of fish meal shot up ... and expect anchovy recovery 1 season 2015. today, if i am not wrong touches a new low. shall wait and see ... now still pretty confusing and unclear with the direction ... sun comes up and the mist will disappear. if go in will be for medium term ... haha .... say say only

Peru fishmeal px closed Nov at US2204,> 10% on Oct 14 closing px of 1985. If Dec fishing season burnt, maybe px cld sky-rocket. Qn is how much inventory of anchovy does CF still hold to turn into fishmeal.

As has been widely expected, Peru' s Marine Institute (IMARPE), has declared that there will be no second season for Peruvian anchovy this December.
This will push the shortfall of global fishmeal and oil supplies to more than 10% below 2014 levels.
Last month, Oil world forecast a reduction in global fishmeal production to an " extremely low 4.12 million metric tons " , which would represent about a 10% reduction from the current year (september to september).
Now they will likely revise that forecast downward, as they did not factor in a complete closure of Peru for the December-January fishing season

That oil world report trustworthy? It said Imarpe has low fish findings as if it does not know the fish were pushed closer to the land and out of the traditional fishing zones.. Imparpe carries out fish survey regularly for fishing quotas to be set. Although the company&rsquo s operations remain sound and deleveraging is on track with the refund from the long-term supply agreement (LSA) with Russian suppliers, it still needs to refinance the $250 million (&euro 201 million) bond issued by Corporacion Pesquera Inca, a subsidiary of Peruvian Copeinca ASA -- which China Fishery acquired in 2013 -- by March 16,2015. &ldquo The negative outlook on China Fishery' s rating reflects this risk,&rdquo said Fitch in an update. China Fishery is exploring various options to address this, including support from its shareholders. If the refinancing needs are addressed adequately, Fitch may revise the outlook to stable, it said. In the full financial year of 2014, cost savings from the enlarged Peruvian fishmeal operations started to take effect. As a result, revenue increased by 13.7 percent from a year earlier and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) margin was resilient at 38.9 percent. The El Nino weather phenomenon might pose some downside risk to the total allowable catch in the 2014 second fishing season. But the underlying earnings profile of China Fishery is strengthening given the firm demand for fishmeal savings to be realized from the further consolidation of its enlarged Peruvian business and the removal of uncertainty of in the Russian contract supply business. Additionally, the company' s leverage, as measured by adjusted net debt to operating earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization and restructuring(EBITDAR) decreased to 4.4x in the financial year of 2014 from 5.0x a year ago, driven in part by the partial refund of $111 million (&euro 89.2 million) from its long-term supply agreements (LSA) with Russian suppliers. The remaining $130.5 million (&euro 104.9 million) from the LSA is to be fully paid by March 2016. |

China Fishery Group' s operations remain sound and deleveraging is on track with the refund from the long-term supply agreement (LSA) with Russian suppliers, said Fitch Ratings in a note on Wednesday. However, Fitch' s negative BB- rating on the company reflects the ongoing risk attached to the group' s need to refiance its $250 million Copeinca bonds, said Fitch. " If the refinancing needs are addressed adequately, Fitch may revise the outlook to stable," wrote the ratings agency. China Fishery is exploring various options to address the refinancing. |
