OPEC' s action on oil and the supply side of the equation. Any sign of upturn will be trigger points. Keep most of your fund intact and be patience. U can nibble bit by bit if you like too. OCBC: $6.50 - Buy 2 lots : $13,000.00 After that I will just wait even the OCBC price drop more.  Total : $35,500.00   Plan B Once STI drop 2500 i will use around $20,000.00 to buy OCBC Shares regardless what price when it hit 2500 Then if STI drop more to 2200, I will use another $15,000.00 to buy  OCBC Shares  regardless what price when it hit 2200. After that I will just wait even the STI drop more.  Total : $35,000.00   Kindly advice which plans work better and why?

Takeover its not easy even asset is cheap See the case of Saizen, it was trading dirt cheap and when the PE funds take over, they also need to pay at least 1 P/B for their asset even if market is trading at P/B 0.5

That why banks even though they are cutting people, they are still hiring compliance not saying it full proof...

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	In crisis....many are beaten by fear .... Banks valuation are very conservative and their profitability and NPL are all closely monitor and provisions taken . ( Especially Spore banks) So to be below book value really happens only a few occasion over the last decade. ( for those whp check its history) ...it is really not fiar to compare banks w other cat of stocks ( construction, property of commodities) Anyway...its result is important in Feb...if dividend is maintain it wld draw out long term investor into this profitable bank.
