Genting Singapore Q3 net profit crashed by 66%



The revenue loss was still reported despite job cuts in July.

Net profit for the third quarter ended 30 September for Genting Singapore Limited still dropped by 66% despite investment business along with other hospitality and support services returning profitable results for the quarter.

Resorts World Sentosa dragged Genting Singapore&rsquo s profit, with a 41% loss on their gaming segment and 74% losses on its non-gaming segment.

The group said it continued to grapple with the ongoing pandemic and &ldquo continues
to experience weak demand.&rdquo

RWS is a pillar in Singapore tourism and we cannot do without that to attract foreign money, it won't go bust. You made the right decision to hold. Only be fearful if the company run into cash flow problems, but for strong companies like GS, no issues with cash flow. In fact, they are cash rich

I am still holding 100 lots GS bought at $0.987 quite sometime ago . Initially i wanted to gave up as the price kept dropping slowly to as low as $0.51. My thought was, " during the lockdown and with no tourists at ALL". plus the major retrenchment exercise. What will happened to RWS! Hold my stocks die, don't hold and sell it also die... What i type this my eyes was watery and almost cry it out. But, heaven save us and GS, as the price is shooting up fiercely to $0.84 now. I will Hold till at least $1 .. Hope everyone here be patience and just wait .. I am sure miracles will happened soon... 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏

If the locals can support the profit and revenue of GenS for 1 quarter, they can support for another because travelling overseas is still restrictive and local high roller gamblers cannot go overseas yet. 
So Gens will still earn big bucks for the coming quarters. Buy slowly and DYODD. Cheers!
