Checking SIA 5 year share performance, fair valuation approx 1.0x book value. Current book value = 11.20 as from 1h17 fi ancial report, it might go lower if 2h result sucks. However SIA got hidden value not yet unlocked, it owned 77% SIA eng meaning every 1000 SIA is bundled with approx 750 SIAEC.Current SIAEC stock is being spoon fed on drip from share buyback in order to remain listed on sti index30. Difficult to access sia real potential value as it got too many side businesss, but the reported book value 11.20 is minimum for privatisation since sia cash rich low debt. Currently it power play on big investors vesu sia management using stock price as leverage to pressure them to manage profit margin in the midst of capacity expansion.  |

Lot of free cash and very low debt, hope some bb dig this and unlock maximum value. Check out sia balance sheet and u know this is the fattest cashcow with heavily undervalued stock price tightly controlle by bb. Share capital 1.8b and 10b plus locked in reserve, worth as much as it book value. Temasek should long time privatise sia, staying listed no longer needed as no need to raisd cash through right or new shares, shit is drowning with free cash money no where to spend. Hope the ceo don screw up the expansion plan through scoot |

Oct ops report horrible scoot load factor down 10% capacity up 60%, stock tumble down 7% in nov, nov ops improve, scoot load drop by 4.5% improving from oct. Stock price had to keep low to further pressure sia management to priority profit margin over growth so turnaround might be mid jan if result back to satisfactory level. This would suck if u try to punt, it power play between big investors and sia management using stock price as leverage. Sia big investora all those ah moh banks and dbs, they would drive down share to show their disapproval over aggressive growth strategy. Unless temasek come in and break deadl9ck through privatisation. |

Last few time sia went below 10 was market expect it to post a loss on next quarter, if sia somehow managed to turnaround using 1 off investment gain or cut capacity then stock would respond and move back to it norm 1x book. Stock price below 10 would put heavy pressure on management to prioriy profit margin so it kind of market check on ceo even th don bother to do share buyback. Market pressure to ceo to manage risk and watch out for bottomline. |

Had to wait after trump 20 jan presidential speech before anyone load in regardless of better ops result for sia in dec. A trump upset speech would end current rally and sent global market in a rout, but again nothing much to drop for sia since it got sold down on fear of trump protectist policy. Banks are the one to watch out for drastic drop if market tank after 20 jan. Boring session for sia till air clear up on 20 jan. If dec ops result good and trump tune down his bullshit then sia would take off to hit it historical 1.1x book on profitable year. |

Possibility of SOA getting higher, going private would unleash billion locked in reserve and share capital and sia can use dividend usually paid yearly to improve welfare and service quality. Hope temasek privatise sia fast fast, potentially unlocking the siaec holding which is about 770 siaec share for every sia share. Best to throw in towel and go private for sia like what happen for nol and smrt. |

SIA always lag behing compitetion like that of Premium Economy. They struck to their premium business class values and in turn lost market share. SIA no more special as cabin service is down in service levels and very expensive and not friendly to customers. Will go down more as I can see. |

PARENT Singapore Airlines' (SIA) load factor decline accelerated in the peak season. SIA' s passenger loads fell 1.9 percentage points (versus a 1.6 percentage point decline in October 2016) on the back of a decline in passenger traffic. At 76.9 per cent, SIA' s loads were the lowest in eight months. With the exception of Tigerair which registered flat loads, passenger load factors declined across all subsidiaries. Scoot' s passenger loads fell 4.5 percentage points, while SilkAir' s also weakened. The continued weakness in loads in the peak travel period does not bode well for peak Q3 earnings expectations. Year to date, eight-month FY17 stood at 77.9 per cent, in line with our full year estimate of 78 per cent.
SIA Cargo' s loads also did not improve as cargo traffic growth slowed to a mere 3.4 per cent from October 2016' s 10 per cent growth. Aside for East Asia, cargo loads declined across all other regions. We reckon cargo yields will likely remain weak. Passenger loads to Southwest Pacific fell 8 percentage points, highlighting the risk to SIA' s traffic on the Kangaroo route. SIA attributed the decline to " material increases in industry capacity" . We reckon this was due to capacity additions by the Big Three Chinese carriers, which seat capacities to Australia have risen by 12 per cent in December 2016 thus far. This will likely be exacerbated by the recent open skies agreement between China and Australia (Dec 4, 2016), which removes all capacity restrictions between the two countries. About 19 per cent of SIA' s capacity in km-terms is directed towards Australia and we believe SIA' s loads on this sector will likely continue to fall. Rising fuel prices could lead to higher into-plane fuel costs, offset by lower fuel hedging losses. Since end-August 2016, jet fuel prices have risen 15 per cent to US$65/barrel. Our full-year estimate implies into-plane jet fuel cost of US$65/barrel in H2 FY17. Should fuel prices rise further, this will result in higher into-plane fuel costs, partly offset by lower fuel hedging losses or possibly even fuel hedging gains. As at Q2 FY17, SIA had hedged 29 per cent of its H2 FY17 jet fuel requirements at US$68/barrel and 3 per cent at US$63 on Brent. Maintain " hold" and target price of S$10.10. We continue to value SIA at 0.7 times FY17 forecast core book value ex-SIA Engineering Co, or one standard deviation below mean price-to-book value. Suggested entry price is S$8.90. |

NOL losing money for 5 years and temasek sell out investors interest on cma promise to support psa. So well at least a money bleeder got sold off at it book value. SIA real bò ok value is on sia eng divestment, if they divest it 77% stake it bozanna 3 billion gain on current sia eng price. Book value can rocket to 13plus if divestment occurs. Currently transport stock got hampered in 2016, comfort delgro and sia both losing 15% and 13%., don touch is safer unless u can hold. Sgx losing lot of it transport syock this year and maybe next year sia also gone.
