Sembcorp sells commercial construction business to Chip Eng Seng for S$49.9m I dun quite agree that selling the construction business is good. It depends on whether it is for a profit. If before selling, the value is 50m, then selling it at 49.9m is not good. If the value is 49.8m, but manage to sell it for 49.9m, then it is good. But more importantly, what is Sembcorp going to do with the money? Invest to make more money or throw it to the useless didi? |

You don' t have to worry about transaction costs for them because for big players, their transaction costs are extremely super low, literally like almost free. Moreover, they have many tools at their disposal such as CFD, SBL or derivatives, so they will still win. Retail do not know how the BBs work unless you have friends working in the private banking or institutional sides, then you will how the game is played. It is a rich man game, sad to say that.
