 Alert Admin 		Dont think share consolidation or not makes a different as the capital structure doesnt change. Maybe less volatility as price movements wouldnt be as pronounced but our SG market has a funny reaction whenever there is a share conso, share price will always drop even though fundamentally nothing changes

The right combination for success

Investment Thesis: A global leader in offshore engineering. The acquisition of Keppel Offshore & Marine (KOM) by Sembcorp Marine (SMM) has created a global champion with world-class yard facilities and offshore engineering capabilities - Seatrium Limited (STM). Combining their strengths, STM is set to emerge as a leading clean energy solutions provider.

Earnings turnaround in sight. The spectacular order wins since 2H22 have led to a tripling of STM&rsquo s orderbook to over S$20bn as of May2023, and as yard activities increase in FY23, losses should narrow. While potential integration hiccups and costs could pose some downside risks this year, they should be seen as one-offs. Looking beyond, we expect STM to reap the synergies from the merger, on both the cost and revenue front, and turn profitable by FY24.

Operational improvement and order wins are key rerating catalysts. STM&rsquo s share price has tumbled > 90% from a five-year high of ~S$1.50 in early 2018, on the back of huge losses, depleting orderbook and skyrocketing gearing levels. However, the tide is turning now &ndash balance sheet has strengthened following two rounds of rights issues and its orderbook has climbed from < 1x revenue coverage to c.3x currently. We are hopeful of the operational improvements post the yard merger translating to positive profits by FY24, and have a brighter outlook for order wins in both the conventional energy and renewables segments.

Reiterate BUY TP raised to S$0.18. We raise our valuation multiple from 1.2x to 1.5x FY23F PB, in view of the brighter order and earnings outlook. This points to 35% upside potential. We believe 40% of the rerating could come from the earnings turnaround and 60% from an uplift in the valuation multiple from 1.1x PB towards 1.5x PB, on the back of the robust momentum in order wins.

Thanks for sharing. DBS and UOBKH have recently upgraded their TPs. Seems like the foreign brokers, Citi and Macquarie are still the only ones calling sell ratings on the stock. Hopefully we will have a full house of buy on the stock, that should accelerate the buying momentum and drive a re-rating of the stock. The fundamental tailwinds are strong so its only a matter of time
