DBS Vickers in a Feb 8 report said it remains neutral on the stock as core earnings remain patchy amid a continued weak demand environment. " We see weaker yields and higher operating costs eroding most or all the net fuel cost savings in the next few quarters ahead," said the broker. " Our S$10.10 target price is based on 0.9x FY17 P/BV (price/book value) which is about one standard deviation below its historical mean and reflects the sluggish outlook."

Something might be brewing, profitable big blue getting depressed with management sitting on 3b cash hold and no share buyback. Take caution with this one, just don feel market is valuating it correctly.

Things will start looking up soon.Feul hedging is much better than expected and they are hedging better. Dont be surprised by this upswing.....IMHO wont last too long.

Anyway next week jan ops report out, if load factor improvec so would share price. Market these few days factor in the 3q lower profit, tomorrow might see short covering it not so bad as brokerage house mentioned. Without the tigerair writedown, 3q is actually flat.
