Rising wedge patterns (mini version) indicate the likelihood of falling prices after a breakout through the lower trend line last seen on Feb 2, since then the reversal of breakout through the upper trend, it happened now. After breaking 33c, expecting 35c~36c soon. | ||||

last year pattern is one of short covering then sell down again at high price to get cash out of the system. about 17m+ was not covered base on mas report. shorts has target this stock as a good meat to get cash. the pattern will be near dividend buy back as much as possible. after dividend short down again to get the cash. how is this possible? think they borrowed from their related parties at cheap interest rate not the high price the retail paid. so on paper their related fund still report as a certain percentage of holdings but in real some already loan out. do not know what is sgx rule on loan out stock on any dividual share holders above 5% reporting. it is not only for this stock but almost all the stock reported as short on mas. if we multiple the estimated value of shorts these professional has taken many billions off the sgx. their shorts positions remains. just that they switch around. covering those business that has better performance and shorting those that has not much story to tell。 they really do not have that much money to press down and that much stock to press down all the stock. if there is a force that will counter these sgx harvestor then their good time will be over. but they will play the other way round. push up and distribute. problem here is like every big boys play the same tune and no one seems to disturb others play. so small retail investors where do you go? |

Absolutely agree with you. Forward looking is the norm for stock market. Only when dividend is sustainable then price can stay or move up. Not once in the blue moon type of payout.

Increasingly this is mirroring last year' s trend. Price appreciation toward the results but what happened last year was that after the results, it slide back toward 31 cents and since then, it has not moving above 34 cents if my memory serves me right. Last year it touches 34 cents or even 34.5 cents just before the results. So, the outlook and guidance given by the company is important along with the results. It won' t be enough even if the divdend is 3 cents. It would push the price up toward 34-37 cents range but if no positive guidance and outlook, then the price will retreat double quick after XD. Hence, I am looking forward that management outline business plans, strategic development, portfolio outlook and guidance, among others. It' s a bit concerning that price didn' t hit 35 cents at least before results. Let' s see. | ||||

I like your estimate as well, BinderyT. Very long ago, I guess 3c. I lowered my expectation after some not so good news. However, as the date draw nearer, after some positive news, I&rsquo m back to 3c again. Anything above that will made me very happy. Less than a week to go. I hope to be wrong and the few who think it is higher than 3c get it correct. I also agree with your &ldquo best thing about SG&rdquo . I used to rent out properties. Rental yield low, cost of maintenance, agent fees, taxes, etc, made me gave up. Terrible tenants a big headache. Spoil your furniture/appliances, left without paying bills, disappeared with your house keys. All these I have experienced. Regardless of whether it is residential, commercial or industrial property, whether local or oversea, all face similar issue. I switched to stocks investment in 2011, after a friend told me about no tax on dividend and capital gain. Small charges on buying and selling. No cost in keeping the investment, so long it is local counter and bought with cash. No other investment beat it. I have not look back ever since. In fact, I have been sharing this with friends. I always believe in sharing &ndash the joy. Unfortunately, not many bother.

Dividend guess - 4.39 (H1) + 3.39 (H2 - maintain IR, no writeoff of financial assets) = 7.78 EPS. 40% x 7.78 = 3.11c. Upside - reduced share base due to SBB. Downside - possible further degradation of IR. If no shaningans, my guess is 2.9c to 3.1c. | ||||

This is the best thing about SG. No tax on dividend, no tax on capital gain, no estate tax. If you can max out your retirement account, you can add another $50k per annum income.

For me, even they offer 3.5c every year that would take me a few more years to get my high digits dividend amount, but I am happy with the present situation. Wish everyone gets the best outcome to come.

WOW.......nice to hear that, volvo 125. You surely is top holder here, undisputed. So happy for you. Share the joy. I didn' t do calculation but at the back of my mind count, I think I would have more than 150k total dividend income if all counters DPU added up. It is at least 50% off your income! |

If 3.2c dividend, the share price will jump to 3.2 / 0.055 * 100 = 58c. Ah ... then we see whether all of you sell or hold forever for dividends :)

Having been away from SG for about 10 days, I have just caught up with the posting in this thread. Really, nothing new at all except some posting on how stingy, selfish old Ren is or supporsedly is. Old Ren stingy or not everyone is entilted to his or her own opinions but fact remain if one has been investing in YZJS for at least 2-3 years, no way one can suffer any losses, especially since investors can get YZJF for free. Well, it is still worth 32 cents as of today and being 1 for 1, investors of YZJS cannot lose money unless he or she purchased YZJS at $2 because YZJS share price today is $1.69. Not to forget YZJS has been paying dividend all this while. Mind us, the historical price for YZJS ranged from 20 over cents or so till recent high of $1.69. So fine, if we still think old Ren is stingy we are entiltd to our opinions and personally I will regard YZJF as a separate entity now. The linkage to YZJS is useful if old Ren can replicate what he did at YZJS. Imagine one day YZJF is commanding $1.50. Go go go, go and take a look at YZJS' s price chart from listing till now and dividend records and ask honest question whether old Ren is stingy or not. As for YZJF, nothign change lah nothing change lah, some institutions wanted to get out for their own reasons so price hard to appreciate plus YZJF has no track/proven record. They are going to be 2 years old soon so time is needed lest us forget this fact. Just pay me dividend while I wait. | ||||

After crazy manipulation last week, the price correction is back to 32c today. By Friday the predicted price range is in between 31c~38c. I think it may be settled well at 32c at least.
For a wild guess, coming week imagine that price 32c with 3.2c dividend, a very good yield I hope. Anyway I am happy with a lesser dividend. |

SB is on 22 Feb. won' t be surprise if they release both on same day. but its strange that they haven' t announced earnings date. maybe old Ren still counting his beans.
