Taxi normally have 2 drivers splitting into two shifts, day and night shift At $48.50 per vehicle day, each driver only pays $24.25 rental per day I' m sure there is no need to drive 10 hours to cover the rental?

Yes Uncle Starship. Besides running errands, they can also use their taxis to go Geylang to talk cock to the beatiful girls in the coffeeshops and go casino for some games (and park in the VIP carpark), but not before they have covered their rental after driving for 10 hours.

Ok I admit I didnt make it very clear. I should have said :
"Loss in Revenue", ie, loss of that amount of money going into the pocket. Whether it is losing money is another subject no one can tell without looking into its accounting books. But I am sure it is a costs monster by just looking at its business model and the huge number of big guns it employs.

We all know that taxi drivers also use their taxis as private car as well, sending their parents/wife to medical appointments, marketing and may other chores. Even use it for CNY visits, QingMing visits, temple visits, etc. So there is No Loss.  In fact, taxi drivers Save $$$ as they don' t have to pay thru the roof for  Private Car. And their Comfort-subsidised petrol is cheaper as well!!!! More likely they' re Lauging to the Bank !!!!!! ![]()

Shouldn' t really see that as a loss Assuming if $97 a day and their profits (for example) is $37 a day with operating and overhead costs of $60.00 per vehicle Then the loss will only be $12.50 per vehicle day $48.50 per vehicle day is only the reduction in their revenue, not their losses If their operating and overhead costs are less than $48.50 per vehicle day, they are not even making losses at all Maybe you should take up some basic classes in economics or accounting lol

Sorry correction : Since its Hybric taxis' rental was $97/day, 50% means $48.50/day. The loss per day should be around $45×8,000=$432,000/day.

Breaking News 5 hours Ago :
CDG has announced 50% rental rebates for its cabbies, up from the 5% reported in the media on Sunday. Supposing the loss is $40 per hired-out taxi per day, the daily loss is $40/day×8,000taxi=$320,000/day. |

Taxis very good? Please dont rub salt on the taxi uncles' wounds. Lets get ready for the big dump from mid year. Some may be already dumping now despite that their deposits will be forfeited because they are still on contracts.

Why is Chart Expert Senior ConBao? Please advise in the chart. Is this Zoom Bee looking like Up-Side-Down Head and Shoulder or a real Head and Shoulder in the making? My uncle said it is the latter but I think you are the Expert so please enlighten.

https://www.stocksbnb.com/reports/comfortdelgro-corp-ltd-slow-road-to-recovery-but-rolling-in-cash/ Key points: The Positives + Improving taxi profitability.    Taxi EBIT jumped to S$14mn, excluding relief. This came from lower rebates and operating costs, namely staff costs. + Surging cash flows.    Operating cash flows more than doubled YoY to S$224.9mn, thanks to better profits and government relief. Net cash spiked to S$338.9mn from S$190.5mn three months earlier.   The Negatives & ndash Public transport& rsquo s turnaround weak.    Public transport EBIT was down 47% YoY to S$17mn, excluding relief. Rail revenue was weak, with ridership at 65-79% of pre-COVID 19 levels. Australia was stable while the UK remained affected by a lack of tourism travel. Outlook The recovery is clouded by a resumption of lockdown and stricter social distancing in Singapore. Lower mobility will hurt rail ridership and also raises the need for higher taxi rental rebates from the current S$10/day.   Maintain BUY and TP of S$1.83 We keep our FY21e forecasts. DCF target price is maintained at S$1.83. While the timing is unclear, any change in the revenue model for the key Downtown Line from fixed fees to risk- sharing with the government could provide stability to its public transport business. Disclaimer: I am not advocating whether to buy or sell this counter. I myself am vested. Just sharing info. DYODD please.  |
