 Alert Admin 		In my opinion,YOMA should have a profitable 4Q.Real estate business still slow due to condominium law not out yet.F&B, KFC and especially the farm tractor businesss should be doing well.YOMA recently reported that they hv sold 600 farm tractors to the gov. Average per tractor cost approx. $18K.Let's wait for the financial result to be announced.Dividend .005??just a guess.

just a little worry on the sudden downturn from its high 0.64 just las week to 0.57 (yesterday).

shall keep my faith and see this one continue to grow!

 Alert Admin 		A ceremony was held in Naypyitaw on Tuesday to mark the handover of 600 tractors from the globally recognised New Holland Agriculture firm to the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, according to a press release from Yoma Strategic Holdings Ltd, the Myanmar distributor.

It said the deal with Italy-based New Holland Agriculture was brokered through the Agricultural Mechanisation Department (AMD), which is tasked with modernising Myanmar?s agriculture sector.

The plan will involve Yoma Bank, which is to offer farmers a financing option based on a 10 percent down payment with the balance payable at six monthly intervals over three years.

According to the UN?s Food and Agriculture Organization, Myanmar?s agriculture sector is ?the backbone of its economy?, contributing to nearly 40 percent of GDP, accounting for 25 to 30 percent of total exports, and employing no less than 70 percent of the national workforce.

?The delivery of 600 tractors takes us another step forward in Myanmar?s wide-reaching agricultural modernisation program. These tractors will play an essential part in improving our nation?s crop quality, crop yields, and food security,? said U Soe Hlaing, the director general of AMD, speaking at the ceremony.

The package includes 500 75-hp TT75 tractors made in India, and 100 90-hp TD90 tractors made in Turkey.

?New Holland Agriculture will also provide training in the operation and maintenance of the vehicles to ensure that investment in the new machinery delivers the highest possible returns,? said the press release.

In my opinion,the real estate business is a huge drag on YOMA becos foreign  investors are waiting for the condonium law.

Vested in YOMA quite recently....

The counter has been consolidating for sometime ( since jul 2016?) and has recently saw some increased trading activities.

looks poised to continue its uptrend. 

 

Not going in for the long run so didnt see the fundamentals of this counter.

Yes,Myanmar' s political situation is a concern.   But its business regulations is slow to update and investor expectations are super high .   So I think until the situation is clearer, I will hold my investment and not expect too much from Myanmar business.   Yoma has nothing much to show up till now, only talk about potential not unlike Midas. Dividend is paltry.

Aberdeen and UOB "same BBs group". Be careful. I observe Both are well known "shortists". Why i say so ? CASE STUDY : YANLORD

UOB loudspeaker (promote) themselves as " big businessman " in Myanmar. (Based on TV ad)

But Myanmar political situation is a big concern.

If you cant even perform well in Vietnam, then dont talk about Myanmar.
