That question is about drivers, not the company Comfort or Grab Shouldn' t this thread be more oriented towards the company? Instead you should be asking, would you rather pay $8.30 or $10.80 for the same ride? If everyone (or most people) are choosing the cheaper alternative (in fact, a lot will choose the cheaper alternative), I guess the company that is offering the cheaper alternative will earn more right? Many Grab drivers were former taxi drivers. Why do you think they jumped ship? For fun or what? Of course being poor, I have to select the cheaper option, selecting my favourite comfort taxi! In fact I dont like Grab but I will buy its shares when it is listed. It will probably make up the main portion of my portfolio by then. Take it easy buddy. If you believe a zoom bee is good, just buy more. I dont advocate people to buy or sell. You make your money, I make mine

Taxi drivers are self-employed and will throw keys and walk away if they can no longer make a decent living after working 12, 14, 16 hours a day, everyday. There will be less and less taxis on the road until the government starts an employment model through SMRT to make sure that foreign visitors still get their taxis when they come to Singapore.
