 Alert Admin 		i dun think it will move the share price cos is not even signed or approved and the whole thing only starts 2022. 2021 is for approval. Now only " preferred" partner, nothing concrete.. and Semb Marine role is just building the platform only and it does not mean it will be profit, they may incur a loss if the they bid too low.
Dun place too much hope. GE Renewable Energy' s Grid Solutions is the main winner if approved.

SEMBCORP Marine and its consortium partner have been picked by German utilities company RWE as the preferred suppliers of the electrical transmission system for one of the world' s biggest offshore wind farms located at sea north-east of the United Kingdom.

Sembcorp Marine, together with GE Renewable Energy' s Grid Solutions, will start early design works for the Sofia Offshore Wind Farm this month. The full contract is subject to a final investment decision, which is due in the first quarter of 2021.     

If approved, it is expected that Sembcorp Marine will build and install the wind farm& rsquo s offshore converter platform.

As the consortium leader, GE& rsquo s Grid Solutions will be responsible for the engineering, procurement, construction and installation of the two HVDC converter stations.

The trading pattern for sembcorp marine has been pretty bullish the last few weeks. Almost without fail, the accumulators of sembcorp shares will sell down the share by 1-2 cents in the last minutes of every trading day so they can buy more shares at lower prices the following day.

With sembcorp marine CEO being the co-chair of  International Advisory Panel on Maritime Decarbonisation,
it is highly likely to win more wind farm and renewable projects in the coming years.

The " accumulators" of sembcorp shares are likely to veto the rights issue like me as Sembcorp marine is in good financial position with over S$1+billion cash to tap on if need be. (remaining S$600m from SCI' s surbordinated loan and a USD$500m revolving facility by Standard Chartered bank to its wholly-owned subsidiary, Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz Ltda (&ldquo EJA&rdquo ), secured on the 5th June 2020)

With crude oil prices back to slightly above USD$40 per barrel, the rig orders should start flowing again soon. Looks like 2021 would be a boom year for SMM.

 Alert Admin 		1H result out on 15 july, may have some indication of demerger schedule. Just next week.
Followed by SCI 2H result, 2 days later on 17 July.
Probably will hv more activities from next mon onwards. Just opinion.laugh

 Alert Admin 		temasek or SCM should have engage an investment bank that pay a success fee based on outcome of deal. Too bad all these are insider knowledge can only guess.

I got a suspicion the share price will be pushed to at  least 65  cents..  near TERP

Unlikely for the next 2 years... share price will range 25 to 35 cents...
For it to get back to above 70 cents, u need to following

1) World economy improves and oil price goes back above $80 or
2) Temasek decides to merge Semb marine with Keppel speculation
3) Some 3rd party willing to acquire Semb marine like some foreign company acquire NOL.
      BUT share price will touch high upon SPECULATION but if the actual offer price is a low
      ball one then share price will tank.

So usually is best to sell when there is speculation :)

All these I think need to wait at least 2 years. For the time being, BBs holding SCI shares  may execute Pump and Dump
so that they can get rid of the free SMM shares they have. Perhaps pump to 40 cents and then dump their free SMM shares.

$0.50 + 5 x $0.20 / 6 = 0.25 XR trading price  and $0.445 + 5 x $0.20 = 0.2408 XR Trading price...

I assuming $0.50 trading price just before XR so easier to calculate the XR trading price = $0.25 vs if i use current trading price of $0.445 (which will change everyday), XR trading price will be $0.2408 ...

Both cases , no!.. share price wun reach $0.20

By the way, I am not joking.. dun have to be so hostile :)

Imagine mother share 29 cents, right 5 cents. If I pump mother by 3 cents to 32 cents which is around 10% increase, rights trading price  should be up by about 2-3 cents. BUT 2-3 cents from 5 cents for rights, the % is almost 50% increase ==> 50% profit by pumping only 10% increase in mother share :)

See whether  BBs  going to fry this counter or not

 Alert Admin 		Just remember that we cannot treat SCI loan to SembMarine as a free loan.  All loans will have to be repaid one day, one way or another. If SCI cuts off the lifeline to SMM and treats it as a loss cause, this will go down as a sinking ship.  SCI will move on, and without loss-making SMM, likely trade even higher.

Semb marine will only be $0.20-$0.30 XR. The day u approve the deal, the share price remains at 50 cents (CR)..

I dun understand ur reasoning

You can sell the rights :) quite a substantial amount u can get back cos 5  rights for every 1 semb marine shares. Imagine u got 10 lots, u can get 50 lots rights.. Sell the 50 lots right on the first day of trading.. I predict the trading price will be $0.04- $0.06

So although ur mother share drops to $0.29 but u get back about $0.25 from selling your rights so in the end, ur total worth is $0.29 + $0.25 = $0.54

If the deal goes through, existing SembMarine shareholders will see their stakes being significantly diluted from 39 per cent to 6.5 per cent if they do not subscribe for the rights.

But, if they take up the rights offer, they will have to fork out more money just to maintain their stake.
