I think Bioldics also focus on 2019-nCoV IgG/IgM ANTIBODY DETECTION KIT. With gov using more test kits, it could be good news for companies like biolidics who focus on rapid test kits. When the phase 3 opens up, test kits will be probably more useful for pre event testing and dormitary testing. In last US presidental debate also Biden push for rapid test kits in his convention speech.

Rapid testing kits should be quite crutial for the new normal especially when we open up cruises and allowing certain air travel. Even there is vaccine comes out, I am not sure there will be one vaccine to sure kill/prevent all different different types of COVID. But even if it comes out, testing will be somewhat still essential. majory issue of those kits is accuracy since this has been approved, looks ok. They have exclusive contract for 5 years and working on it now, can vest for long since the price is low now.

This news already released on 14-July. I am also holding this share, but definitely dun want to share outdated news to mislead ppl.
Why not sharing the new technology test kits need 9 months to develop? Now that 3 months has passed. Who knows what will happen within the next 6 months? Will be there any newer technology test kits? https://www.straitstimes.com/business/companies-markets/up-to-9-months-to-include-astar-tech-into-covid-19-tests-biolidics

Coronavirus likely to become as &lsquo endemic&rsquo as the flu and a vaccine might not be able to stop it, top UK scientist says PUBLISHED TUE, OCT 20 20207:14 AM EDT https://www.cnbc.com/2020/10/20/covid-19-likely-to-become-as-endemic-as-flu.html?view=story& token=%2FfVNOwppS6Tt5QQ4I92uQAq6GaPaRMwknUrdd%2BB9NJV2LeJC5bzmwJe8JPbMODO4AsChbXYnA%2FCk%0Azqnioz%2Fn4A%3D%3D%3F__source%3Dandroidappshare LONDON &mdash Covid-19 is likely to become as &ldquo endemic&rdquo as the annual flu virus, according to the U.K.&rsquo s chief scientific advisor. Some potential vaccines are in late-stage clinical trials, but Patrick Vallance said none is likely to eradicate the virus. &ldquo The notion of eliminating Covid from anywhere is not right, because it will come back,&rdquo he said, noting there had only been one human disease &ldquo truly eradicated&rdquo thanks to a highly effective vaccine and that was smallpox. &ldquo We can&rsquo t be certain, but I think it&rsquo s unlikely we will end up with a truly sterilizing vaccine, (that is) something that completely stops infection, and it&rsquo s likely this disease will circulate and be endemic, that&rsquo s my best assessment,&rdquo Vallance told the National Security Strategy Committee in London on Monday. &ldquo Clearly as management becomes better, as you get vaccination which would decrease the chance of infection and the severity of disease ... this then starts to look more like annual flu than anything else, and that may be the direction we end up going,&rdquo he said. Biotech companies and academic bodies around the world have joined forces to try to create a vaccine against the coronavirus at breakneck speed given its ferocity. On Monday, the grim milestone of 40 million confirmed coronavirus cases worldwide was reached, and the virus has caused 1.1 million deaths, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. Historically, creating a vaccine from scratch had taken 10 years on average, Vallance said, and it had never taken under five years. &ldquo We&rsquo re now in the extraordinary situation where there are at least eight vaccines which are in quite large clinical studies around the world. ... We will know over the next few months whether we have any vaccines that really do protect and how long they protect for,&rdquo he said. He added that a number of vaccines created an immune response and antibody response, but only the Phase 3 clinical trials would prove whether they &ldquo actually stop people getting infected.&rdquo The safety profile of such vaccines would also become clearer and from then on, a &ldquo sensible vaccination strategy&rdquo could be looked at, Vallance said. Vallance concluded he didn&rsquo t believe there would be any vaccine available for widespread use in the community until at least spring. |

But it never said which test kits to use... HSA has approved the test kits from 142 companies and there are quite a number of rapid test kits.  https://www.hsa.gov.sg/announcements/regulatory-updates/hsa-expedites-approval-of-covid-19-diagnostic-tests-in-singapore-via-provisional-authorisation

SINGAPORE: Singapore will pilot pre-event testing from mid-October to December to identify a model that can be widely implemented so that more large-scale events can safely resume, announced Minister for Health Gan Kim Yong on Tuesday (Oct 20).    This means that participants going to an event or activity will be tested either at the event venue or at a separate testing facility, and only participants who have tested negative will be allowed to participate in the event.
These events could include business-to-business events and wedding receptions, added Mr Gan.  For example, pre-event testing will be piloted at Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW) next week.  Antigen rapid tests (ARTs) will be used for the pre-event testing, which can return &ldquo fairly accurate&rdquo results within about half an hour, said the Ministry of Health (MOH) in a factsheet.  |

Patents are important for Biotech companies...if Biolidics dare to take on a BIG BOY in the pharma industry, i believe they have reasonable cause to do so. Pls do your own DD.  |
