Mainland chinese are so rich becos they know where to make their money. While HK dumped their shares, the mainland investors picked them, at cheap valuation. Ext from report: " ... pouring an aggregate HK$45.3 billion (US$5.8 billion) into equities listing on the Hong Kong stock exchange ... Hong Kong stocks currently trade at a 23 per cent discount to the mainland-traded shares, ... &ldquo The low valuation will create entry opportunities for investors,&rdquo said Gerry Alfonso, director with the international business department at Shenwan Hongyuan Group in Shanghai... &ldquo There&rsquo s limited room for further downside in the valuation of Hong Kong stocks,&rdquo said Zhang Yusheng, an analyst at Changjiang Securities ... ... ." The report was already 3-4 wks old, so now their aggregate could even be higher than the HK45.3 billion, and the disc could be greater than the previous 23%, maybe now 40% after 15 wks' non stop violent protest. If CEWL is currently trading at 60% valuation, it should be worth 52.5c, which is close to its nav of 53.2c. Mind u, their latest HY div of 0.65c is quite good even for valuation of 52. Just wishfool thinking only lah for those who follow the mainland smarties to pick now at 31.5 rock bottom, but who knows???

U are rt. Even with the daily unrest, the HK investors seem reluctant to whack it further. Think below 31.5, there will be enough locals to support it lah. With nav of 53.1c, and SOE backing, and current HY div of 0.65c, think there would be some major upswing when the unrest is settled, only don' t know for how long more lah.

Shd delist from HK exch, just opinion. With current protest turning into violence, with no end in sight, price will be suppressed in the long haul. Seems like hk investors are ' punishing' this cina counter, even tho kongsi tries to reward shareholders with higher div. Shorties in sgx just take advantage to whack it down. Currently, price here is better than price there, opposite of kongsi objectives. So the longer it stay listed in HK, the longer sing investors kena whacked by shorties.
