The announcement seems did not say the Brazilian is reopening the case suspended in Apr. Not very clear whether it' s purely CPIB initiative either.

" SINGAPORE: Keppel Offshore & Marine has fully paid fines and damages of almost 343.6 million reais (S$88 million) to Brazilian authorities in relation to its corruption case, Keppel Corporation announced on Monday (Jan 30). The sum was payable under a joint resolution and leniency agreement that Keppel O& M concluded with the Brazilian Attorney-General' s Office and Comptroller General of the Union last month. The deal was on top of a global resolution reached in December 2017 with authorities in Singapore, Brazil and the United States. Keppel O& M was then fined US$422 million for its part in an international corruption scandal that took place between 2001 and 2014, with bribes amounting up to US$55 million." The fines were substantial for KOM. |

one way to remove all these historical problems is to form a new company. inject all assets, business into company, prepare the business for listing then do a 10 for 1 distributions of the company and listing by introductions. then delist this seatrium shell. so clean start. no need to have these problem constantly bore new shareholders. | ||||

Thought the announcement by the company was decent - expected response where they arent in a position to further comment given ongoing investigations but they had mentioned that this pertains to issues prior to 2015. If anything, regulators are obliged to investigate given the report but realistically, the impact to the company will hopefully be contained
