1st qtr 42c. 2nd qtr up, 48c, because results better than 1st qtr.
3rd qtr results also good but not better than 2nd qtr, so is fair to keep it at 48c.
I only look forward to 4th qtr. 80c to $1.00 is what I' m expecting.
If $1, total for the year is $2.38!
Even if share price goes to $34, yield is still a whopping 7%.
Where to find a stock so stable that' s giving such dividends?

Actually was hoping in view of so much outrages.. dbs will give fat fat dividends to appease shareholders.. 48 is gd but still below my expectations?

DBS Q3 profit rises 16% to S$2.59 billion declares S$0.48 per share dividend

DBS' s Q3 earnings beat a S$2.54 billion consensus forecast in a Bloomberg survey of four analysts.

DBS reported net profit of S$2.59 billion in the third quarter ended September, 16 per cent higher than earnings of S$2.24 billion in the corresponding period last year.

This includes one-off costs of S$40 million accrued from the acquisition of Citigroup&rsquo s Taiwan consumer banking business in Q3.

Notwithstanding this one-off item, Q3 net profit would have been up 18 per cent to S$2.63 billion.

The net profit was driven by a record-high total income, said the largest bank in Singapore on Monday (Nov 6).

This figure beat a S$2.54 billion consensus forecast in a Bloomberg survey of four analysts.

Total income for the third quarter stood at a record high of S$5.2 billion, 16 per cent higher on the year.

This was driven by higher net interest margin and growth in commercial book non-interest income, said DBS.

The lender declared a dividend of S$0.48 per share for the period, up from the S$0.36 in the previous Q3. This brings the total dividend for the three quarters ended Sep 30 to S$1.38 per share.

10b profit for FY2023 is a given in fact if we extrapolate from its 9 mth profit of 7.89b , total profit is estimated at 10.5b .

If we use 10.5b profits and 50% payout ratio for full year dividens , then the total dividen for FY 2023 = ( 10.5b / 2 ) / 2.58b shares outstanding = $ 2.03 . Final dividen = $2.03 - $1.38 = $ 0.65 . This is NOT taking into account any specials dividens that the bank may give ( FY 2022 special dividen = $0.50)

My guess is that they may give out $0.50 final + $0.50 special for final dividen FY 2023 total div for FY 2023 = $2.38 .

As expected, with contribution from Taiwan coming in, net profit for full year will cross $10 Bn for sure.
What to expect for final dividend? 48c + ?? special dividend.
My guess total will be at least 80c. $1.00 is my wildest expectation.
Happy that I added, though not much, now crossed 13k units.

SGX is crazy exchange, good results not necessary price up.
