Thanks for the email. You are right in your assessment and that ratio has exceeded 10% as of current. The 9.06% ratio was as of 31 Dec 2023. 
 
We will revert with more info upon confirmation with the company secretary. Nonetheless, if your concern is that the share buyback will stop upon crossing the 10% cumulative mark, management has highlighted that it will be a simple procedure of cancelling the treasury shares as they have no intention to use the shares for employee share option for example, and the share buyback will continue when deemed appropriate.

 Alert Admin 		Thanks for being so proactive. SBB is good, so far only a handful agree..hehe..must hold for long while getting rewarded..cash is at 1.6b. Mgmt will continue the sbb until the next agm for sure which will boost nav upon cancellation of the shares..queue at where? Must be at 32c where they defend vigourously on 22 jan if i rmb correctly...26m buyback.

 Alert Admin 		Yes, you are correct.   The daily should be used as an indicative direction and the weekly cumulative outstanding is far more accurate.

A sell that was marked " short" at the onset of execution but was covered by market close on the same day will still be registered as a short transaction. Hence the cumulative shorts o/s compiled weekly by MAS will always be much less than the previous week MAS total plus the following week total of SGX daily recorded shorts numbers for the counter.  SGX doesn' t report shorts cover so we won' t know if the week or the day is still net short at close. 

Hence I think the MAS cumulative shorts data is more meaningful to me.

Not true.   Short sellers called the shots on Fri.   41% of all trades were short sell, average 0.335.   They will close their short after XD, easy money and safe.   Its not manipulation, just common sense

They just need to hold at 335 till ex-dividend then selldown starts. Perfect manipulation.
Actually expect to see 35 this year but will BBs aka shortsellers ruin it. Hope China can stimulate their economy before it collapses further to the point of no return.
