It' s not gone, now it' s in a new name as People Party which would challenge in the future as it is a lucrative business, lol. Actually i would say the alcohol industry is very stable judging from Thaibev expansion to become one of the leaders in SEA and its revenue and net profit growth over the past decade. especially during the lockdown period, not many companies could generate that kind of income. The gov is mulling to scrape afternoon ban sales of alcohol further after extending pub opening hrs already suggested it not against alcohol consumption. When people drink, they tend to spend more. but however stable and good is a company, it all depends on big money since they had re-rated Thaibev valuation to be much lower than its peers.

Thai gov actually take care of beer business very well when they reduced alcohol taxes to boost consumption, unlike Vietnam. personally, was very surprised Thaksin allowed her daughter to become PM when she still has a long long journey ahead of her. feel pity for Seratta, he has been doing well since in offfice. Going around to seek investments and boosting tourism with amendment of traveling rules... Went to airport to welcome first batch of Chinese tourists, to him, ego counts for nothing.

Because PE and P/B is lower compared to its peers in this industry, but i agreed if just solely on company alone, then current price is not particularly cheap. wonder what below numbers really mean.. i came across an article which said market makers were there to increase SGX trading volumes. Not that good. Even at current prices it does not look particularly cheap based on the main comparable metrics (P/B, EV/EBITDA, P/E, dividend yield). Unclear to me why the bulls on this thread think the company is worth a lot more.
