Do elaborate on my clips below:-   &bull Management increases the fund size of  Maritime Fund to up to US$600m  (Up to US$200m funded by YZJFH the rest from investors or bank loans/structured financing). In 1H23, the fund generated 17.7% return, boosted by fair value gains of vessels. It has committed US$174m capital to various projects. Target by vessel type &ndash Tanker (50%) Containership (20%) Gas carriers (15%) and Bulkers (15%). Very interesting plan if actions announced.   𝗬 𝗮 𝗻 𝗴 𝘇 𝗶 𝗷 𝗶 𝗮 𝗻 𝗴 𝗙 𝗶 𝗻 𝗮 𝗻 𝗰 𝗶 𝗮 𝗹 𝗛 𝗼 𝗹 𝗱 𝗶 𝗻 𝗴 𝗟 𝘁 𝗱 (𝗦 𝗚 𝗫 :𝗬 𝗙 𝟴 )' s FY2023 results briefing showed the company has made significant strides in leveraging its 50-year legacy and Huangshan market connections.  [Sounds like lipservice only]   💼 The firm detailed its strategic fund utilisation of US$3.4 billion, focusing on preventing capital leakage and investing in domestic and foreign listed companies. Business adjustments include heightened supervision and leveraging on Singapore' s forex advantages for global investments, aiming for a US$3 billion scale. [Sounds like more nonsense]   🚢 Plans to renovate old ships and partner with major shipping firms underscore its ambitious US$1 billion revenue target, marking a pivotal year of growth and diversification.  [See below calcs]   It' s a lot easier to see all this from the YZJSB angle, I extracted some figures from their Shipping section to guide investors here. Feel free to digest and add ideas. Mind you, in 2 short years time SB' s Net Cash will exceed the NTA of FH [this 10 yrs SB' s RE]. What Ren needs now is to set aside FH SGD1b to combine with SB SGD1b to form a powerhouse   Maritime Fund. And grow it from there, until he can settle his global investments. But do expect FH cash to be depleted and some pains over next few years... Pointless we drool on its SGD1.6b cash, means nothing till NPAT is achieved, market expects no less than 10% ROE. Even > 15%. It can be achieved w SB' s collaboration, read on....   Shipping SGD' 000 2023 Net Assets  995  [2022 991] Revenue  190  [2022 258] GP  106 (inl deprn, fin lease)  [2022 124] NP  66 34%  [2022 105 41%]   So in summary, 2 yr averages are Rev 224, GP 115, NP 86, 38% !!!!! Huge profit margins.   The global outlook for the shipbuilding segment remains upbeat driven by the ongoing climate-related regulatory push by various authorities. In January 2024, the European Union (&ldquo EU&rdquo ) extended the scope of  the EU Emissions Trading System to include maritime emissions.  This mandates ship operators to purchase and surrender emission allowances. The stricter policy will continue to drive vessel replacement as ship owners seek to phase out non-compliant legacy vessels.   The chartering is also a very profitable business, added now the renovation of old ships and JV' s w huge shipping names. Fund can buy up the good used non-methanol ships, and refurbish to green ships. The key to FH success lies with SB, Ren knows that, but can he bite to bullet to revert it ? Personally I shall be patient with it and my patience is being compensated with reasonable dividends and company?s prospects. Just sharing my opinion.
