x 0   x 1  Alert Admin	AGM is more of rubber stamp all the agenda like dividend, SBB etc. Business review on YZJFH badly needed, should it continue to be listed without a viable business or delist as private company. YZJFH currently just a listed company with lot of cash and no debt.  It act as a medium to hold money transfered from china through DI redemption.

They had been quiet for the whole 2023, increasing headcount only. Need more update on sg fund investment progress else stock price remain stagnant.

However, @emailpeter has made a very good and valid observation point on the YSB Shipping biz that YFH Maritime Fund has also already entered into. This Shipping business seems more like an auxillary biz of YSB, non manufacturing (or building of ships) in nature, and only constitute a mere 4% of YSB topline revenue. For YFH, however, this more commercial nature of hiring or chartering of this shipping biz fits YFH asset management line of biz profile. If YSB is paving the way for YFH to take over the shipping biz, it will have a very significant and positive synergistical topline and bottomline impact for YFH. Why keep 2 sets of staff running this shipping biz in YSB and YFH separately if  this commercial shipping biz can be run more cost efficiently in YFH while also boost YFH topline and bottonline ? Yes, the YZJ shipping biz including  ships chartering has a very impressive net margin of 41% in FY22 and 34% in FY23. YFH MF is also going in or in fact already started the investing into ship chartering and hiring biz so it seems that YFH is " competing" with YSB on the same mkt segment ? Business adjustments include heightened supervision and leveraging on Singapore' s forex advantages for global investments, aiming for a US$3 billion scale. [Sounds like more nonsense]   🚢 Plans to renovate old ships and partner with major shipping firms underscore its ambitious US$1 billion revenue target, marking a pivotal year of growth and diversification.  [See below calcs]   It' s a lot easier to see all this from the YZJSB angle, I extracted some figures from their Shipping section to guide investors here. Feel free to digest and add ideas. Mind you, in 2 short years time SB' s Net Cash will exceed the NTA of FH [this 10 yrs SB' s RE]. What Ren needs now is to set aside FH SGD1b to combine with SB SGD1b to form a powerhouse   Maritime Fund. And grow it from there, until he can settle his global investments. But do expect FH cash to be depleted and some pains over next few years... Pointless we drool on its SGD1.6b cash, means nothing till NPAT is achieved, market expects no less than 10% ROE. Even > 15%. It can be achieved w SB' s collaboration, read on....   Shipping SGD' 000 2023 Net Assets  995  [2022 991] Revenue  190  [2022 258] GP  106 (inl deprn, fin lease)  [2022 124] NP  66 34%  [2022 105 41%]   So in summary, 2 yr averages are Rev 224, GP 115, NP 86, 38% !!!!! Huge profit margins.   The global outlook for the shipbuilding segment remains upbeat driven by the ongoing climate-related regulatory push by various authorities. In January 2024, the European Union (&ldquo EU&rdquo ) extended the scope of  the EU Emissions Trading System to include maritime emissions.  This mandates ship operators to purchase and surrender emission allowances. The stricter policy will continue to drive vessel replacement as ship owners seek to phase out non-compliant legacy vessels.   The chartering is also a very profitable business, added now the renovation of old ships and JV' s w huge shipping names. Fund can buy up the good used non-methanol ships, and refurbish to green ships. The key to FH success lies with SB, Ren knows that, but can he bite to bullet to revert it ?
