SIA Pilots are over paid and their perks are horrendous - Someone once said  they get to fly First Class while on duty, and if they reach a certain number of years of tenure, they and their family get like free or subsidised travel for life.  This includes Middle Management staff, who get cheap tickets and upgrades for their family.  I have friends working there who get this perk - and they boast about this online and in FaceBook.    Insane.  These tickets  should be sold to fare paying  passengers at a cheaper cost.  That is why SIA is finished and the share price is plunging.  I would buy at maybe $8.

UNLESS we hv a great advantage ( maybe like Kep n Semb which hv much patent on its rig build) ....there is little on airline flight.

People look for cheaper and of course still safe airline .....its getting v hard to compete / online booking /cut meals etc. The fight goes on and worst ...
RESTRICTION....so hard to get landing or flight into and out of a country .....limit your nuber of flights/ give u lousy timing....etc etc tricks by other countries.

HOW ARE WE GOING TO COMPETE....just depend on this ONLY resource PEOPLE/ to work at the minimum possible cost to maintain profit margin ...lol  ....v smart CEO also dont want to work , its tough .......I just wish and hope well for the future of Singapore .....with generation having less and less consideration of our own basic foundation ( a  small zero resource island trying to survive in this large big world)

So this might speak for the future of SIA

 Alert Admin 		Temasek just need to press the divest button on SIA button, all investors win employee lose. Simple and easy. SG don need a national carrier just like we don need national shipper. By the way SIA winning big time on oil hedge, there one big 920mil fair value on cash hedge credit to balance sheet but not declared profit. Book value shoot up to 11.79 from 10.88 together with 149mil declared net profit.

Temasek better divest off SIA holding to mideast carriers and strike a bargain to make changi their asia transit centre just like what happen to NOL. Now NOL doing good due to removal of incapable sg management. We are very tired of this kind drama, repeative in nature.

 Alert Admin 		Stay chill all bro, once sharebuyback option announced. Stock would stabilise above 10. But again this year we might see more streamlining of SIA, left SIA eng not yet touch. If SIA eng divested, it gona be a bumper harvest for all who hold to last. Today is typical of SIA share movement after a self inflicted wound on it 1Q result, come thur fri short covering follow by stabilisation. The result is not that shitty to warrant 10% selloff. This selloff is warning shot from temasek to SIA not to grow at all cost. High chance sia management ball shrink and slow down their growth to stabilise yield. Check out the yield chart in 1q presentation slide, it dive in may then quickly bounce back in june to previous 1q level. Stupid sia management, too high iq low eq don know how to adapt to business cycle.

 Alert Admin 		My take is 9.60-9.70 range should bottom out. Prior to XD fund holdings are 10.x level so jisblevel is quite safe somewhat. Spread out your bikers to collect. Should go back 10.x within 2 mths barring any world market volatile and trump's moves

Anyway chill it, stock price most likely go to 9.80+ range on xd but slowing recover. If sharebuyback occur after NDP, it would move back to 0.95x book value @11.20. I just don like the new accounting practisr as it separate the hedge gain/loss from operating profit, however it still be accounted for if u look deeper into accounting report. We just don get the big headline net profit any more due to changes. Horrible for trading but good for long term investing as sia most likely goon share buyback spree to spend the hedge loot
