Nose diving again. With such super high pilot salary and staff costs, and extravagant staff benefits and soaring energy fuel costs - prospects are really rather bleak. The best days for SIA are over. My pilot Captain acquaintance makes one flight per week, gets super high salary, and the rest of the week shake leg. How to be profitable???

1) What happens to passenger and cargo numbers where they is there is less business activity due to trade and political tensions? 2) Is SIA passengers biz making $? 3) Is SIA' s budget subsidaries making $ ? 4) Is SIA Cargo making $? If you have the answer to the above, you should have an idea where the price is heading......IMO, DYODD. |

Tourist come here to see merlion? Aft learning everythg will any one still want to come to sgpore? Even schools here r suffering. Less intake right? Anyone with a sound mind will rather go direct these days. Insurance policies? Worst coverage in the world. I nd lots of money to migrate. Many sgporeans r suffering. Numbers all looks gd. This time, dont thk can stand up any more. Weak sgd high cost better for foreigners to work bk home. Only good thg is tax but overall costs supersede advantages in home countries. | ||||

Tts the problem with sgpore too much free money to burn think tt singapore is europe. Sg neighbour is msia and indonesia but burn money to foriegners like super rich country but without any resources. No manufacturing, no trade, no oil , no water but behav like a champion. When evryone hq outside sg with no mre cpf contribution, what will happen? If no jobs means no nd to stay in sg. Means edu also useless because no JoBs.

All confidence is gone and evaporated in this counter - trade wars, uncompetitive costs through high pilot and management salaries and benefits, and declning yields, better services on other airlines and rising fuel costs will reflect in degrading fundamentals. My SIA pilot acquiantance seems to be only flying once a week now, but still earning pots of moolah. How can this be good for the airline? They seem to be protected because of airline rules and agreements - I think the Chinese pilots fly a ot more than SIA pilots.

SIA is definitely NOT a Great Way to Fly anymore. Again, I am very upset and sickened with the company for making their non-stop flights to New York ALL Premium Economy and Business etc, without normal Economy Class seats. This is what they did before the GFC, and converted their USA flights to ALL Busiess Class. Why does our National Airine only cater to the well-heeled and all others have to fly cattle class using one-stops or on other airlines???? Serves them right for their shares being smashed to the bottom. I will wait at $8 to collect and then go to the AGM to tick off Management for not catering for the normal people like me.

UOB better than expected result still drop today OCBC monday unlikely to out do UOB, so monday OCBC result out likely also drop and drag down DBS and UOB again ... and also drag down SIA of cause ...  Plus SIA own force sell and today close near lowest ... monday another bloody force sell liao

stay at 965/966 now ... while the support at 965 may hold today, but if never bounce up by end of day, and so close near day lowest, like that monday open still got force sell again, which usually will then sell it till below 965 ... if US side take a break and drop tonight, monday lagi bloody again ... force sell is like flu, got one, then got 2, 3, 4 ...

Cool down lol us market down by 90pt and nasdaq up 50. Sti over react to us future so tomorrow mostly rebound. XD on SIA also removed as fri is dividend registered end date. No biggies we been through this and back 2 times it suck though as SIA never enhance shareholder value. | ||||

Close day lowest and worst price ... SIA is a high price ~~$10 stock which very good to be use and many use as collateral, margin trade, and CFD trade, these are much much 10X more than contra ... When price drop big big since few days ago, many will be ask to top up margin ... no $$$ no top up, force sell tommorrow ... US future now very red ... look like tommorrow SIA force sell will be very bloody
