It already had its burst for the day...should close down at 2c or even 1.9c...buying all gone, and selling is pushing down....just a momentary flash in pan....as you say ticktock, need know about RI, and offshore projects and capex news of increases needs to flow through which give sector confidence...for now just trading in a thin trap with odd bounce and flash in pan.. |

Will ride once in a while to trap some...its tough to go up unless the oil price and investments in offshore O& G initiatives goes up, vallianz needs to decide and announce if it still plans to flood the market with rights issue which plans to take the number of shares in the market to 3 times current level. No announcement on Swiber decision to subscribe for rights as well....lots of issues pending before safe to say it will shoot up. |

sure but I also dont mean anything personal. But quite frankly, for Vallianz, it simply needs to severe all ties (ie means clear up and report their accounting without Swiber' s) and gives 1-2 quarters of positive FCF. If the macro environment is bad and Vallianz can still produce these results, then it will shine brightly!

Bro, please understand I definitely not suggesting my ' ideas' is the solution to a turnaround....it is a complex path that needs to be considered at all levels (macro, micro, global etc)....I was only focusing on a narrow aspect...it going to take a lot of elements coming together to ensure a true turnaround...even if global looks good it useless if at local level it a shambles...similarly if local level all fixed nice and tight but global a shambles then nothing...need to look at all levels...one aspect is at local level for deadwood to be cut and strong allowed to survive...

What you said is not incorrect but a few SG O& G related coy toh will not changes much. You are really looking at the global level for this elusive turnaround.

Whilst Ezra affair, news of NC and impact on Triyards is not nice for those vested, employees (ignore directors and senior executives) - and I am simply being pragmatic - but perhaps these events can aid in turning sector around once and for all...with Swiber there was a jolt to the sector that helped to try and clean up the bad debts...Swissco added to it...when oil increased it appeared worst over so some relief for O& M firms....that could have been a bad thing as the sector needed some further consolidation...perhaps this latest jolt can aid in cleaning out rest of the deadwood... It is reasonable to assume firms in the sector will survive...the question is which ones...this jolt may help sift out more rapidly those that will survive and those that will not...if that consolidation can be done quicker leaving the strong then perhaps may see some purposeful upward growth.. No idea which are the strong ones, but I tend to lean toward those without any notes payable forthcoming, able to generate positive FCF, solid CA:CL ratio and solid order book with earnings visibility into the next few years...that may not be the best criteria but least if something to start with...hate seeing firms fall but sadly perhaps a rapidly collapse of a few will prompt the final consolidation and finally give investor confidence..

Ezra finally suspended after a long drag, at this same time we get bad news on Nam Cheong...the oil has also taken a big beating last week....looks like O& G sector will take longer to recover. Hope Vallianz creditors don' t flood the market with 350 million shares they hold. |

I think so there will be an initial jolt if EZRA news is bad, then may be will start to go up from there but just not sure of it with this counter as Swiber JM extension is also pulling on it in my opinion....so may be october-nov when things start to really improve. |

LOL...well the 2c buy queue wall gone....and 1.9c wall not likely to be much of a barrier...sell queue at 2.1c looks like a strong barrier...so perhaps you get your price at 1.6 faster than you think...think floodgates opening...this counter seems counterproductive...news that seems positive it goes down...news seems bad goes up...oil seems to be steady at moment for example but people eager to sell on this counter...Jekyell and Hyde...

The buy queue been stagnant at 2c for several days...gradually been whittled down day after day...slow dribble sell down but nobody seems to be replenishing a willingness to buy at 2c...seems some even taking some out of queue to buy lower at 1.9c...I would not be surprised if buy queue at 2c all gone by today and falls to 1.9c...buy queue at 1.9c does not seem very solid...I not even certain this will not see its lows of 1.6c again... Perhaps just become Jasper Investments...not assets, no revenue...but since Oct gone from 0.6c to 3.7c...heck in last few days gone from 2.8c to 3.7c....seems like better to invest in company no assets, no revenue....it got Mkt Cap of 150mill but this counter only 98 mill...so this counter should simply sell everything, do nothing and shareholder get potential 50% rise....

Oil is recovering...lets see if this counter stands up on its feet tomorrow. I see some scared of the EZRA impact and sold off, IMHO consolidation is always good for the ones that remain. |
