Just like Capitaland & CDL, Oxley's profitability may be affected by asset revaluation loss, thus affecting bullish sentiment. Dyodd.

True that the low prices may not affect the big boys as the capital will still be rewarded with dividends 4 to 8% Back to the original question, are there any good reasons to keep the prices low? |

i believe the difference btw them and us retailers is in the short term the low share price does not affect them because they are there on the longer term (5-10 years).

If this were to be true, I will be puzzled by their actions 1) The 3 big share holders already holding 81% of the company shares. If they want to reduce their stakes, they would prefer to sell at higher price and not at suppressed price 2) What benefits do the main shareholders get by keeping the range low? I struggle to understand Please share yuor views. Thanks

My view is how much publicity and coverage the company gets from reputable analyst. Glad to see UOB has jumped in and given their Target price. (see post below) Hopefully such publicity will attract customers who have accounts with UOB, they trust.

Even the company is doing extremely well and forecasting a record year, someone is still trying to range-bound the share price at the March market bottom level after the earning annoucement. Sign of cccumulation to pick up Oxley at cheap? Checking the short-sell data, Oxley short-selling is extremely low. So it is not really short-selling.

Best scenario for Monday will be: 1.    Ask $ starts at 24.5c. That means all sellers not willing to sell below 24.5c 2.    Shortiest cannot perform a short when they do not have enough shares in hand. But how to prevent your shares from being borrowed by trading houses (not CDP) for short sell. Do not leave your share idle, place a sell at much higher price say 26c and 27c This is how to disrupt shortiest plan - Repeat 1 & 2 continuously to huat Just a thought |

Here is the article...Oxley set to enjoy ' fruits of its labour' for next few years: RHBFelicia Tan  Published on Fri, Feb 19, 2021 / 11:33 AM GMT+8 / Updated 2 hours ago

RHB Group Research analyst Jarick Seet is maintaining his &ldquo buy&rdquo recommendation on Oxley Holdings with a lower target price of 27 cents from 29 cents previously, implying a 5% yield for the FY2021.
The way he sees it, things are looking up for the property development group as it reported a 117% y-o-y surge in PATMI of $34.1 million for the 1HFY2021 ended December. To Seet, Oxley looks set to enjoy the &ldquo fruits of its labour&rdquo for the next few years due to the near-completion and sale, as well as the receipt of its temporary occupation permit of its overseas properties. The Royal Wharf project in London, England, which is over 99% sold, is expected to be fully completed and sold before the end of 3QFY2021. The residential blocks at Dublin Landings in Ireland, which has been sold to Greystar, will be progressively completed in the same period. The Peak project in Cambodia, which has been 86% sold, has received the temporary occupation permit (TOP) for its retail component. The residential and office towers are expected to be completed, also around 3QFY2021. &ldquo Upon their completion, Oxley should finally be able to realise the fruits of its labour,  strengthen its balance sheet, and still pay attractive dividends to shareholders,&rdquo writes Seet. Singapore&rsquo s property scene also looks to be stable for now. As at Jan 31, about 3,293 units &ndash or 84% of the group&rsquo s total portfolio &ndash have been sold, with $3.7 billion to be collectively progressively from buyers. During the circuit breaker period from April to June 2020, Oxley showcased their units to potential buyers through virtual showrooms, and saw pent-up demand for its homes, according to Seet. &ldquo From April to early August last year, the company issued over 280 options-to-purchase to buyers, garnering sales of more than $330 million. Construction activities in Singapore have gradually returned to full operation, and Oxley can look forward to higher revenues and profit recognition in FY2021,&rdquo he adds. |
