x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Asian Shares: Japanese Stocks on Track for a Winning Week Mining and materials stocks sent Japan' s benchmark index lower on Friday, capping a volatile week for shares across the region. Still, the Nikkei Stock Average is headed to gain 2.2% for the week, making it one of the better performing Asian stock benchmarks. The Shanghai Composite Index and Hang Seng Index are on track to lose 2.8% and 1.9%, respectively. But concerns about volatile oil prices - and more recently gloomy updates from some of the largest U.S. retailers - were on display on Friday, weighing on most major stock benchmarks. China Shares Trade Near Flat at Midday Chinese markets pared earlier gains by midday Friday, as sentiment remains weak amid tightening regulatory scrutiny over speculative trading. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edges up 0.04% at 2837.01, while stocks in aviation sector lead losses as investors book profits. The Shenzhen Composite Index edges up 0.3% at 1795.90, while the ChiNext Price Index is 0.5% higher at 2044.65.   " The weak economic fundamentals does not support further upward momentum, while expectations of state funds intervention will hold the market above 2,800 level," says Zhang Xin, an analyst at Guotai Junan Securities.

That being so would devastate the whole asian economy.  Should the US succeeds in its " kwai lan" ways, and sparks unrest or breaks on a small war with China, that might even ursher in for US a marshall law preyed into someone' s wicked plan before the US presidential election that might cancel it and prolong the current presidency, would be hell for all.   Just guessing.  How could a top notched market continues to slide and slide and slilde endlessly? Australia' s benchmark ASX 200 down 0.3%, as resources stocks came under pressure Major miners in the country saw their shares drop more than 1 percent each -. Rio Tinto was down 1.57 percent, Fortescue shed 1.37 percent and BHP Billiton off by 1.96 percent. In Japan, the Nikkei 225 wavered between gains and lossest, as the yen saw renewed strength against the dollar during Asian hours, after retreating to the 109 level overnight. Across the Korean Strait, the Kospi was down 0.27 percent. Shares of Japanese automaker Nissan advanced 7 percent, after the company took a 34 percent stake in rivals Mitsubishi Motors on Thursday, worth 237 billion yen ($ 2.17 billion). Nissan also released earnings on Thursday for the 12 months to March 31, 2016, which showed net income rose 14.5 percent on-year to $ 4.4 billion. Apple closed more than 2 percent lower at its lowest since June 2014. " The market seems to be at an inflection point and investors are trying to get their arms around where the next move is," said Myles Clouston, senior director at Nasdaq Advisory Services. " There really is a lack of conviction of late. No one' s chasing it much higher," he said. The S & P 500 closed a touch lower, as declines in health care, tech and industrials offset gains in most sectors led by telecommunications. The Dow Jones industrial average clung to gains of less than 10 points, with Boeing contributing the most to gains and Apple having the greatest negative impact. US crude oil futures recovered from an intraday dip to settle up 47 cents, or 1.02 percent, at $ 46.70 a barrel. Earlier, WTI topped $ 47 a barrel to its highest since early Nov. 2015. Brent briefly topped $ 48 a barrel before holding around $ 47 in afternoon trade. In economic news, weekly jobless claims rose to 294,000. Import prices rose 0.3 percent in April, while export prices rose 0.5 percent. " Tomorrow, retail sales are either going to confirm things really are weak or it will show the employment number and the GDP number was temporary weakness," said Bryce Doty, senior fixed income manager with Sit Investment Associates. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Europe stocks higher as oil bounces following IEA report Zurich up 6% BoE ahead European markets reversed losses on Thursday, as the oil price continued its march higher, despite some disappointing earnings from major corporates. The oil price was supported by the weekly inventory report from the Energy Information Administration' s (EIA) which showed a decline of 3.4 million barrels, versus expectations of a slight build. A separate report from the International Energy Agency also suggested on Thursday that a rebalancing of supply and demand in the oil market was starting to become evident. The news sent stocks in the oil and gas sector higher. In oil markets, Brent crude traded at around $ 47.69 a barrel, up 0.19 percent, while U.S. crude was at around $ 46.40, up 0.37 percent. Alternatively, there are hopes that short sellers, having already bet correctly over the past fortnight, have now great incentive to cover their positions rather than hold on for more gains . Either way, these hopes have arisen because of the relatively sedate response here to Wednesday' s Wall Street blowout that saw the Dow Jones Industrial Average plunge more than 200 points or 1.2 per cent - the Straits Times Index (STI) hovered within a tight band, periodically dipping into the red before ending a net 12.52 points higher at 2,745.39. Undoubtedly, short-covering played a major role on Thursday, given that the STI had lost 7.7 per cent in a near-straight line plunge since closing at 2,960 on April 21.
