This is the first sign that uptrend was slowed down. Next, DJI failed to make new high, and looked like forming " double top" (' M' formation). " Standard practice" is, short if the price bar  punches  (strength to break) through the support line in purple colour.  This is still considered pull back, and therefore, the trade if executed iis still considered countertrend trade unless all MAs are pointintg downward, which mean downtrend started DYODD.

Based on my little knowledge on chart, STI seems like sturggling to go up but support quite ok at 2500. DBS is doing higher low and near EMA 50 already look like got chance to break up together with UOB (quite strong support at 1940). UOB trade XD 15th Jun. I think these two banks will remain above 19 and then potentially go up to 20 before 15th Jun. For taxi, weak and weak. It is gonna break down on Monday (XD + remove from index- cant remember the exact term)

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Bro if you got time, can you look at STI, DBS, UOB? Based on my little knowledge on chart, STI seems like sturggling to go up but support quite ok at 2500. DBS is doing higher low and near EMA 50 already look like got chance to break up together with UOB (quite strong support at 1940). UOB trade XD 15th Jun. I think these two banks will remain above 19 and then potentially go up to 20 before 15th Jun. For taxi, weak and weak. It is gonna break down on Monday (XD + remove from index- cant remember the exact term)

If it goes below, then the chance that the trend change in direction is high. This DOW theory. DYODD.

So, also posted here for sharing and more inputs. ==================================================================================== Panda closed shop a bit early today, after having fun and gossip on SGX with Bro Wave and others there.  Basic but also the most important rule in trading is to trade with the trend. And. to know the trend, the common method is use moving averages (MA) to check the trend. Typicall MA to be used are 10, 20 and 60 SMA or EMA. The trend direction is likely to be firmed and continue in that direction  if all these MA lines are pointed to one direction.  Some may use 5, 10 and 20 SMA for short term trading.  And others may use larger period on MAs for longer term trading. If these MA are pointed in difference direction, then the price trend is likely to be sideway, and in this case, ignore MA but use horizontal support and resistance level to trade, either " Buy low and Sell high" , or wait for the trend to breakout from the bounded range. These trading rules are very simple to understand, but not many can do it because of trader emotion, like FOMO, impatience, lost focus, greed and fear and etc. I think I saw the gap up in DJI chart and not in DJI Future chart. Trend with gap up or gap down at the beginning or middle of the trend, usually signal the trend is strong, and likely to continue in the same direction.  If it happens near the end of the trend, then it signals the trend is likely to be ended soon.  Since Future market is operating 24/5, so, we are unlikely to see gap up or down. But, we can see long and steep up or down price bars ocassionally. See the example below. If you sees such price bars, try not to go against the trend direction. To me, it has the same meaning as gap up and gap down. DYODD.
