I think the point is that nowadays digitization is the way to go. Yes this is trading at a 50% discount based on PB Ratio, but it speaks volume that the share prices inches lower everyday. Perhaps something to do with business model?

To add- I don?t see SPH newspaper as what gov mouth piece anymore, if you?ll had read the papers since the election started. It equally reported contents of opposition parties and full of praises! | ||

Yep, absolutely agree. Never fall in love with a counter, although the longest counter i wish to hold is probably for 1 year. But thats only if the counter has strong fundamentals and potential catalysts...

I've been a ST reader since young and it's my daily dose of coffee. Although i am tempted to cut loss and it's painful to see their share price now, i think i will hold and keep my fingers crossed that it will recover one day. I hope i will not cry when i see their share price in 1-2 years.
On a side note, noted that advertisements in the ST are somewhat back to pre-covid days, especially from Thursdays to Sundays. Advertisers are back with full page advertisements. The saving grace for me is that they are still making profit even in this trying time and trying their best to transform and diversify to grow recurring income. |

Have since offloaded half of my holdings since i entered at 1.30/1.40s (not contra).
Better to redeploy elsewhere. Plus i also consider not many will subscribe to strait times by the younger generations if they distrust the Gov't.
