I prefer wilmar to olam simply becos :
1. It is more specialized more of a producer 2. It is the market leader of a specialized commodity China funds like these. They will pay good $ for it. Olam is more of a trader and its main strength ? This name : Temasek

I certainly agree on the upward direction of commodity which is why OLam and Noble Agri are buyup quickly by Country Fund Yes in the future...commodity ( food and water esp) would be a scare commodity esp seeing how mankind distroy our environment. So agreed that with added population this would be far worst than man can expect. I am only wondering when this 2 wilmar and Olam would return to its high....haha , hope our wait is not to long.

Why do i say commodities demand and prices will shoot up ?
Very simple. Look at the world population growth figures from 1800 to 1900 to 2000....and u know what i mean. On top of these, india China Indonesia developing economies into mass middle class helps....and on top on top of these China with its 1.3 bil pop with a new 2 child policy.....go figure simple demand supply economics

One is happy to keep some cash as rewards for his many years of risk taking while another is a big corp with a foresight seeing a boom in commodities demand and prices in the near future.... fair deal
Note : commodities demand and prices at its ebb .... including oil prices For X reason and Y factor cited in the future, commodities will make a strong comeback

I wish you are right ...but the issue is when? Also as Wilmar is doing better why is Martua willing to sell off 2% at this price? Nver know if ADM is accumulating more at lower prices now ? Similarly Olam sold to Mit at over $2+ several months ago ( or over a year now ?) but Olam remains below $2 for a long time. I am vested and certainly wish to see Wilmar in the $4 range again too.

un 14, 20166:51 PM AN investment vehicle linked to Wilmar International co-founder Martua Sitorus is selling 127 million shares, or around 2 per cent of the palm oil processor, to commodity giant Archer Daniels Midland (ADM). The shares are sold at S$3.3765 a share for a total consideration of S$428.8 million.

Logical. Common Sense. Big Fund married deal at around $3.35 per share. Total $ pumped in $450 mil.
Open market can purchase below $3.35 and even $3.30 you dont purchase it ? If you manage my $ i see this i will get out asap. Buy so many shares at more than $3.35 per share and dont buy at $3.30 a bit "kelong" right ? In 3 months time for sure hit $4. (At least will stay above $3.80) DYODD

Wilmar 99.99% will shoot up above $3.50.
Or else it will make That Fund who married deal with Martua Sitorius his 2 % stake at around $3.35 worth about $450 mil looks SILLY . They have holders to answer for. |

today' s sentiments has turned for the better ..... first half of day seems pretty much an intensive collection at 3.30 ..... will it flow back towards its recent high of 3.47 / 3.48 anytime soon ? |
