CIC already holds part of the GLP Fund. and if not wrong Hillhouse owns 8.2%, Expect a min bid price of 2.47 by JP morgan.......hmm 2 larger hse JP and BloomB is reporting on GLP . Can it be false ? More so it is not a matter of the offer price and GIC plan on GLP . Happy investing. SINGAPORE (Nov 3): JP Morgan has rated Global Logistic Properties (GLP) at &ldquo overweight&rdquo , meaning it expects the stock to outperform the average total return of the stocks under its coverage. It has also given the US$6 billion ($8.3 billion) owner of industrial property a price target of $2.15. This comes after news broke out yesterday on Bloomberg that a group of investors representing China Investment Corp (CIC), Hopu Investment Management and Hillhouse Capital Management have held talks about making a joint offer for GLP, according to &ldquo people with knowledge of the matter&rdquo .

As I have mentioned book value is 2.69 ....why would GIC sell below this ( or shld be a premium over this ..haha) Anyway ....honestly I am not viewing a direct offer from CIC/consortium gp.....I think its to both side benefit that they buy a portion 49% or so , its easiler then for CIC to enter USA market. Both has the best of the world ....with Japan and US under Spore side and CIC can grow China market. ( oh my dream ...happy investing)
