It seems to me the market will be quiet after the March reporting reason is over. Do you think there will be sell in May and go away? Any comment. |

Today market very boring. Forex up down less than 0.15%, index too. All stagnant, do you know any big news coming then nobody don't want to commit?

yes for short-term gain... 33% of US$700 not bad... and could be higher. but the strategic investor from China could add more value into HK Life Ins. Better still if OCBC can keep a stake.. Difficult to find another HK Life Ins. IMO

I think he is referring to Bukit Sembawang which is very conservative and prudent company. Indeed it is for retirement stock.

We shall know why noble can't raise bond in last 2 years instead selling noble Agri and naes and right issue. Nobody want to help them to raise.
But today, they raised successfully. Will suddenly noble turn positive cash flow? Who knows after they burning 3-4bil plus fair value gain lower down few billion drastically. I give credit for 750mio which show institutions confidence to noble for possible turnaround. Next to do still monitor quarter result quarter by quarter.

What is BS? Stock is like that, if banks stock in brewing, all bank stocks will start at same started line and run at the same time. The run slower mean he is weak, doesn't mean he will catch up. Among all banks in sgx Ocbc is weak, I don't see result, from chart can know already because chart reflect the running competition.

Play noble share don't need to put our view too far away. 7month ago it is still 11, last few weeks highest 27.5.
Even she eventually go bankrupt it most probably will be 1-2 year later. Cash mean safe line, so long as bankrupt risk remove market will give positive. But once they can't turn around, 1 year later market will punish them. So now got cash is positive, moody already said, so long as they reduce the 1.3-1.5bil mature in 2018, they will up noble credit. But they will only know in next quarter result to issue an upgrade. So to noble this 750mio is possitive in short term so long as commodity and stock market don't crash short term.

Price not moving mean this is kacang operation news.
So still 9.42-9.65 with mid level as guide 9.55 and move up or move down to break top or bottom. Now 9.5

Indeed it is a double edged sword for the current bond issue. On one hand, it is a good thing for Noble to stop using short term RCF for business financing and focus on their business operation. On the other hand, they will burn a bigger hole if they are not prudent and continues to burn cash then it will spell disaster to Noble going forward. I hope they will change their old habit of burning cash.

Just give credit to noble management for 750mio( ft said 300mio) with 8.75%. It is still acceptable range with about 60-70mio interest per year. If noble turn around quickly do redemption and roll over with low interest once credit rating back.
Let's wait for a turn around.
