JOINT ANNOUNCEMENT: OCBC GROUP' S SHAREHOLDINGS IN UNITED ENGINEERS LIMITED AND WBL CORPORATION LIMITED Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation Limited (" OCBC Bank" ) and Great Eastern Holdings Limited (" GEH" ) refer to their joint announcement dated 26 September 2016 (&ldquo Announcement&rdquo ) in relation to their combined stakes in United Engineers Limited (&ldquo UEL&rdquo ) and WBL Corporation Limited (&ldquo WBL&rdquo ). Further to the Announcement, OCBC Bank and GEH wish to announce that they have jointly appointed Credit Suisse (Singapore) Limited as their financial adviser in connection with the strategic review encompassing the whole of the combined stakes of OCBC Bank and GEH in UEL and WBL. Such strategic review is still ongoing and there is no certainty that the review will result in the completion of any transaction or other options. Shareholders are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the shares of OCBC Bank or GEH and to refrain from taking any action in respect of their investments which may be prejudicial to their interests. In the event that shareholders wish to deal in the shares of OCBC Bank or GEH, they should seek their own professional advice and consult with their own stockbrokers. OCBC Bank and GEH will, in compliance with applicable rules (including the Corporate Disclosure Policy of the Listing Manual of the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited), make further announcements as appropriate :} UE sale is on the way ......OCBC will have a windfall Q1 of 2017 .....maybe a special dividend too ( actual UE book value in OCBC book shld be low...old conservative style ) ....Credit S is appointed.

GE result is confirm on 13rd Feb and ocbc shld be a day or two behind. 18c dividend again I am relatively certain. Budget on 20th Feb.

not bad, green bar yesterday, green bar today and is opened abv yesterday high. RSI 50+, MACD curve upwards. If ends at current price, i think tomorrow is another up again. |

OCBC with other banks normally target end Jan for their full 2016 result and dividend. All should be able to maintian their normal ful year div....UE sales wld most likely come in 2017 ( anyway they are not in any hurry to sell ) This counter may come in close to $4B nett income. but cld be less then last year 3.9B ( if any surprise on GE side) ( if it can hit $1B this Q4...then they cld be a big push on its share price...which I think WingHeng contribution might be weak.) Below $9 wldb opportunity to add for me. Anyway ....take this opportunity to wish everyone a GREAT 2017 ....healthy , happy and Prosperous.
