Thank you, bro eagkeeyes1989. eagleeyes1989      ( Date: 20-Mar-2021 17:11) Posted: to put in simple terms of what happened at 5:05pm: 1) a big investor wanted to sell off his position of 12m shares but could not do it during trading hours as that would cripple the share price 2) instead he approached a brokerage firm to help him find a buyer 3) once buyer is found, buyer and seller will both negotiate a price  4) once price is agreed, the transaction will be executed outside of market hours  5) the price is usually a few bids lower than the last closing price, as the buyer must be incentivsed by getting a small discount  6) the seller also benefits here as he is able to sell his full position at a price near the last traded price THATS ALL HAPPENED FOLKS! no need to panic, go enjoy the weekend. monday glove stocks should be up and im expecting riverstone to be back to 128/129 by opening.

Hypothetically, if TG reports flat results for 3Q and 4QFY21 results, then dividends would remain same at 25.2sen/share (so we will need to add another 50.4sen/share for 2HFY21). That means quite a ridiculous yield of 17.0% based on RM5.40. TG has committed to paying 70% (50% ordinary and 20% special dividends) quarterly through till 4QFY21. On that basis,  To put things into context, TG only paid 11.8sen/share for FY20.  So apart from buying into the growth, the yield itself is quite attractive, can' t say for sure and probably premature to say that it will be sustainable but at least for FY21 and likely through to 1HFY22, they will be in good shape

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Sorry, realised that this is a discussion thread on RS - please don' t get me wrong, not trying to demonstrate that TG is better with my below sharing as I personally track the sector quite closely and has been for some time. The yields are attractive for these growth players and the sell-off on RS on Fri makes it an interesting proposition too. There is definitely value in all the glove manufacturers, particularly RS with its high margins, boosted by the cleanroom side of the business. The bigger boys like TG, Hartalega for e.g. are enjoying the economies of scale better than RS tho by sheer volume.  The headwind to the glove sector is unfortunately the market' s sentiment given that it is widely believed that mass vaccination will be the solution for this deadly pandemic. Anyone' s guess!

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	do u understand if it was a " true sell" then a 12m share throw down can tank the share arond 20 or 30pips? so it would have closed as low as $1 and not $1.24 each bid-ask spread there are buyers and sellers, and i was checking as at 450pm + the market depth showed that each bid ask spread level had around 200/300k+ buyers.. so imagine selling down 12m shares straight.. the buyer and seller pre negotiated the price at 1.24. this is common sense
