GS attracts regional tourists (large number from across the causeway). That was why they were confident IRs in Japan will not affect our casinos. Japan IRs catchment is North Asia (China, Taiwan, Korea, Russia & of course the local Japanese). GS is losing business because of the lack of regional tourists not Chinese tourists. It' s surprising that despite border lockdown, we still see Chinese tourists here, though not in big number. If u frequent MBS, u will see considerable number of Chinese tourists there. I also saw, on several occasions, tour leaders carrying little flag leading small groups of Chinese tourists.
