You are right man. Alibaba decided to cut loss because they know something we retails wouldn' t know. They can afford to lose money for this investment by channelling the remaining funds to other businesses which will help them to recover the losses in Singpost. Similar event happened when Malptree cuts its losses in Lippo REIT. Big boys know when to cut losses.

There was plenty of interest in SingPost back in the days when Alibaba invested in it:
Alibaba&rsquo s initial investment in SingPost back in May 2014 was at S$1.42 per share, when it bought a mix of treasury and newly issued shares for a total of S$312.5 million, giving it about a 10.35% stake in SingPost . For context:
Entry price (2014): S$1.42 per share.
Exit price (2025): About S$0.426 per share when Alibaba sold 151.3 million shares for S$64.4 million, reducing its stake to 4.61% .
That means Alibaba exited at a significant loss compared to its entry valuation.

You better don' t wish that to happen unless you bought it cheaply. Many retails bought above 50 cents. If SingPost is to be delisted, the offer price won' t be high. If that happens, those who bought above 50 cents will be wiped out. Spare a thought for them.

In this case should not hire CEO anymore waste money/ simply roadside catch a begger pay 100 per month. With or wothout CEO I think nothing different. Cheap sale the bisiness, buikding and return the cash to investers & close shop is the right way,

This is a forgone company. Ever since the Ang Mo left years ago, the share price has spiraled downward from $1 to current price. Institutions are not interested in such a boring company. In the end, it attracted lot of short sellers to push the share price downward even further. Easy money for them because they know nobody will support, not even Singtel or Temasek.

Hi Tob, if you have to pray and sing again, please pray that Singpost receive unsolicited offer for its assets again. Lightning usually strike the same place twice or more... if Singpost can get an unsolicited offer once, help pray that they can get it again. Or pray that Singtel can somehow inject some useful assets into Singpost ( almost same as a RTO ) Alot of praying is needed. Hope u can set up altar or hire a singing choir to sing God' s praise |

yes, new chairlady took over on 23 July 2025. Already more than 6 months and group ceo came in Nov 2025 don' t mention about coo and so forth. chair initally cold also become warm ... any longer will put burner/s below and make it hot |
