x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Slightly better for SCI as in any case SCM would be unable to pay back the loan.  So might as well capitalize the loan as right issue and give the share to SCI shareholders.  After all over SCM would become free from debt and still get $600m from TH.  So in theory SCI shareholder get the share of SCM which is now in better financial position.  They key what is the price of SCM share after all these are over. Personally i think SMM shareholders will be affected but seems like good news for SCI because you get special dividends in form of SMM shares? Also with demerger SCI no need to fund working capital of SMM anymore and it become pure play utility...its share price should converge to 70-90% of new NAV post demerger as per other utility players.
