loss has been reduced from 13.8M to 8M on QOQ basis revenue increased 12.5% QOQ from 279.8M to 314.7M.How can it be worse?Anyway we alrdy expected a loss as forecasted by Co in 1Q15.Nothing surprising,at least take comfort the loss is narrowing. Main concern is its administrative expenses increased 20.8% yoy to S$21.4 million for 2Q2015 and it net debt has increased significantly.Co said the increase was mainly due to higher marketing expenses incurred for new projects and increase in staff costs,purchase of property, plant and equipment, as well as an increase in finance lease obligations for purchase of equipment. With the ramp up activity and subsequent mass production at Jin Hai have resulted in securing a higher order allocation from customers. With their new projects at Nanhui also transiting to a mass production phase,business development efforts continue to gain momentum to ride on the industry&rsquo s seasonal upturn in the second half of the year. Mass production has commenced at Nantong since 2Q2015 and shown positive results in June. With mass production for several new projects at Nantong, Nanhui and Jin Hai in 2H2015, Co expect to achieve economies of scale to turnaround the overall business performance.

So far Co have not issue any profit guidance for this quarter other than mention it in the last Q fin statement. All this while,Co have also buy back own shares but in nimble bits only.

if you observe the trading cycles of Hi-P, it seems that the financial performance for second half is typically stronger given the increase in demand for their products, such as smartphones, etc. would keep a watch on their guidance for 2H2015 since 2Q2015 is expected to be loss-making anyway.

the result is not that bad, but price up 1/2 cts then never move if they reported bad result, price would drop another 5 cts good result, stocks keep quiet, bad result, stocks drop and drop |

Hi-P 4Q14 at the upper end of estimates, as net profit turned around to $15m (4Q13: -$14.5m), despite an 8.7% slump in revenue to $314.4m, due to lower sales volumes from two key customers, partially offset by an increased allocation from existing customers and new ones. The bottom line gained on improved gross margin of 9.4% (+5ppt y/y -0.1ppt q/q) due to a shift in product mix and the absence of consolidation and relocation costs, and also boosted by one-offs comprising a gain following the liquidation of Hi-P Mexico ($4m) and insurance claim ($1.3m). In addition, selling and distribution expenses lowered by 25% as a result of improvement in cost control and lower impairment loss on asset (-65%). For the year, earnings surged 64% to $10.5m, while revenue dropped 25% to $951.4m. First and final DPS of 1¢ (FY14: 0.6¢ ) was declared. Still, investors may consider keeping the counter on their radar following key client Apple&rsquo s recent record-topping market cap of US$711b, as well as the growing emergence of China&rsquo s Xiaomi and Russia&rsquo s YotaPhone, which Hi-P supplies parts and components to. |

Hi-p say 4q 14 is lower than 4q 13, stock drop until like that, from 79 to 67, if say got better profit, price may not move up spore stock good news dont care, bad news drop until you dropped dead |

Price (0.68, Closed) hit lower uptrend line yesterday. Hourly Price/Macd-Hist divergence formed. Any pull back above 0.695, immediate resisstance is 0.72 Uptrend still in tact. IMO |

If u ask me, I' d think trading on insider info seems very prevalent. I mean,all the recent counters that have come up with market-sensitive news over the last yr or so had seem substantial movements in share px n volume just prior to announcements. N prominent among them seems to be the GLCs. SingPost (don' t know what has happened to police report already), CapitalMall Asia, Kepland amongst others. Regulator seems always lock the gates only after the horse has bolted. Maybe time to seriously review the whole structure of regulation n enforcement.

Hi-P guides for 4Q14 revenue to be lower y/y but higher q/q due to demand drop from certain customers and lower than forecasted yields on certain new products during production ramp-up, but remains profitable at bottom line. |
