With Donald Trump messing around, it is very hard for businesses to predict whats going to happen, especially on costing and production targets. Companies like Venture that rely on taking manufacturing orders from US companies will face a lot of uncertainties.

Soon China will start boycotting American products. This may cost serious repercussions to contract manufacturers, especially those based in China. I am definitely not rushing in to buy manufacturers shares now. Lets see how ugly things go first. |

Yes, it's trending up. Last Friday all about chips news drag down venture. I bought at 27.2, 25.2, average 26.2, that's why worry.
This news could be good for venture right? Anyone know Venture have customers in China.

BB played this counter from $12.31 up to almost $30. Super wide margin for them. Anytime they can trim fats, feed more. i think they will maintain Venture are certain price to maintain the boost in their book but play ups and downs to ripe off retail trader who can afford to play against them. To who long Venture with margin can tahan that $3+ drop last Friday? BB will not let them see daylight again. |

From the analysis, The two bug customer, oclaro and Phillips Morris , only affect the most 10% sale 2017, and still can have valuation of 30 dollars.
Then the share price last Friday dipped more than 10%, I think mkt overreacted.
CIMB must have a reasonable and confident basis to estimate the 30 dollars targets price. Too bad this news still cannot jack up the venture price today

They are always on the lookout for instant big profit opportunities that come knocking on thei doors. and if none come a along, they' ll create one themselves. And the shortists and daytraders will troop in instantly whenever they see an orgy of blood-letting being started. And then the scared longists throw in panic. In the end, all 4 parties actually cooperated to execute the downfall. This story is similar to the African Savannah. The Lions sight a limping wildebeest and attacked in concert. When the Hyenas, Wild Dogs and Vultures see the free bonus lying dead infront of them, they will circle and approach to steal chunks of meat away. The sharp drop appears to be an overreaction given that Venture has close to 200 customers. The sharp drop in Philip Morris share price looks to be Mr Market at work too.
Nobody expects iQOS to slow down suddenly in Japan, but there is still an opportunity in Europe and US awaiting FDA approval. Japan is likely an inventory adjustment as Philip Morris overestimated the spike in demand. 1. Iqos has been launched in Europe including Germany, Russia and Spain but it' s just that Korea and Japan are the stellar markets. 2. Iqos has not been launched in USA yet pending FDA approval. One can just Google about it. 3. VCL was the sole supplier for Morris in 2017 but it won' t be the sole supplier in 2018. |

Apple needs to think beyond iPhone successfully. Otherwise, just trying to squeeze more profits from iphones by eliminating ports is not going to cut it. iphone has become run of the mill products. Nothing special anymore. Really they are all the same, except the newer models are not deliberately slowed down by Apple.
