x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	If it becomes $3, im sure it will go lower. Mr. Market is not silly. There reason why it becomes $3 which in simple terms, profitability falls a lot. ? The truth is that there is no meaningful evidence that short selling depresses markets. The market is about value. Prices fall because no one is prepared to pay higher prices for these particular stocks. More importantly the market has not been proved wrong on a single occasion yet. Originally the US government blamed short selling for the sharp price falls in Fannie, Freddie and Lehman Brothers but on each occasion the fall was justified as the businesses all went belly up. The same thing happened with HBOS over here ? again the short sellers were blamed but ultimately, given the governments lightening fast intervention, it is clear that all was not well with HBOS ? again the market was proved correct. ? This particular SQ Mangement male friend is fine - but the wife keeps posting pictures of BizClass upgrades. Silly woman does not know it puts her hubby in a bad light. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	I have pilot friend who have not flown for weeks and if so only short haul infrequent. They say they are almost semi retired. How to make money while paying sky high salaries. I would not buy SQ yet and let the market punish this for a while more. Even if SQ does not fail does not mean the share price will be supported. I expect the results to show losses in the billions, especially if it includes write offs. With the pandemic spreading rapidly across Europe, Italy and the US, SIA is set for a tough time ahead. SIA?s mainline and SilkAir have cuta total of 15.6% of available seat kilometre capacity, due to the demand in contraction. According to CGS-CIMB analyst Raymond Yap, the spread may hurt SIA?s long-haul routes, and cause its share price to fall in further. ?We view the global spread of Covid-19 with alarm as the sharp fall in demand for SIA?s regional flights will now spread to its long-haul flights and, in the process, hurt the take-up rate of lucrative business and first class cabins,? says Yap in a Thursday report.

Imagine SIA falls to $3 to $5 because of this crisis, will you buy? I will and so many of kaki will scoop them up cheaply. We must understand that SIA is too big to fail. Even it is facing a credit crisis, Temasek will save it. We must understand what is SIA, not just being an national airline, think deeper behind it. Fyi, Warren Buffet bought more shares of Delta Airline when it tumbled last week. Wasn' t he frightened? x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	SINGAPORE Airlines (SIA) announced in a Facebook post on Friday evening that it will be reducing flight capacity on selected routes to the United States.  The two flights to and from New York with a stopover in Frankfurt will be cancelled from March to April as well as some days in May. This comes as the US imposed a travel ban on Europe, with the exception of the United Kingdom, on Wednesday.    The cancellations add to the latest cut in flight capacity, which will temporarily remove 15.6 per cent of capacity from its network. And SIA will bleed and bleed red ink all over. They do not have the guts to retrench highly paid Pilots and Management. The will have high costs and ZERO revenue.
