TPG will have a hard time fighting the local telcos. IN fact, the base stations are not ready. From the way they launched their base stations, all are 4G without voice (in Australia). It is half cooked solutions I doubt anyone wants to try. MIght as well sign up CircleslIfe which is way better. |

Hard to say. Mobile technology, esp those from China, is constantly improving at a rapid rate, not just talking about 4G to 5G tech spec, but even at the component level, cheaper, smaller, faster etc. So today' s dollar can probably get you telco equipment with much better power efficiency, range, bandwidth and latency compared to 2-3years ago.

For dividend yield counters that pay dividend out of cashflow, I prefer reits because at least there is physical, easily understood underlying assets. Starhub' s assets are a bit harder to quantify and it' s quality depends on the telco market that is now undergoing massive disruption. | ||||
