x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Baker Tech Q1, 2014 earnings was $ 1.76 million. Q4 2014 earning was $6.47 million.  Would Q1, 2015 earnings be around Q4 2014 level? If so, it would beat Q1 2014 earnings by a wide margin.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	A few observations on this counter: - Order booked has dwindled to US$30 mil from US$50 mil. Next few quarters not going to be pretty. - They have ventured into speculative building of liftboats at a wrong time. Need to be able to find a buyer for it to realise any gains from this or they might be stuck with it for a while. - The management is super conservative and will likely hold onto the cash during times of uncertainty like this. - The warrants are expiring this June and given their love for issuing warrants, it is possible that another issue may be in the works.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	this is a stable and good company.  Investors react to short term news, so the dividend is less than expected caused a lot of panic selling, but long term investors would not be bothered at all. I bought bakertech expecting special dividend, so as a short term investor, I am disappointed, so i sold off on Friday. And the selling was quite strong, i think alot of short term punters expecting special dividend too. Maybe those going to their annual meeting can ask the management whether they are going to return the cash to shareholders via capital reduction? becos the only way for this share to cross 30 cents is by way of a capital reduction to return excess cash back to shareholders. You should be a winner if you are vested.

Recently they started building liftboat and will probably need to keep some cash for the construction until buyer is identified. But they have a habit of giving out dividend hence I believe the dividend should be minimal, highly likely to be 1 cent.

Infact I think this blip is a chance for us to jeep O& G counters now :) Dyna-mac i think went down becos of dividend less than last year... after dropping to 33 cents, the price starts to climb back .. i think some ppl think the same as me :) bettting this oil drop is just a blip.   edwinjup      ( Date: 26-Feb-2015 20:29) Posted: I sold off dyna mac mainly due to poor 4q result....
